Epilogue

James watched her with a contented smile, his cock still semi-hard as he reached out to brush a strand of hair from her face. "Sleep well, my goddess," he whispered, his voice filled with affection. He leaned back, his toned body relaxed, though his mind was still buzzing with the intensity of their lovemaking. He glanced at his still-aroused state and chuckled softly. "Guess you were right, Lils. If I'm still like this in the morning, we'll have to pay a visit to St. Mungo's." He smirked, knowing full well he wouldn't mind another round, but for now, he was just happy to be beside her.

The Great Hall of Hogwarts was alive with the usual Friday morning bustle as students from all four houses chatted over breakfast. Harry and Hermione sat at the Gryffindor table, the clatter of silverware and the hum of conversation filling the air. Harry, his messy black hair sticking up in every direction, shoveled a bite of toast into his mouth while Hermione, her bushy brown hair tied neatly in a ponytail, sipped her pumpkin juice. The morning light streamed through the enchanted ceiling, casting a warm glow over the long wooden tables.

"Another week done," Hermione said, setting her glass down and pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "I can't believe how quickly time is flying. Our Transfiguration essay is due soon, and I still need to finish the last section on human metabolism."

Harry nodded, his mouth full, and reached for the jar of strawberry jam. Just as he was about to spread it on his toast, a soft hooting sound echoed through the hall. Hedwig, his snowy owl, descended gracefully, her wings spread wide, and landed beside him. In her talons was a letter addressed to him in familiar handwriting—his mother's.

"Post from home," Harry said, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he took the letter from Hedwig.

Hermione's eyes narrowed slightly as she watched Harry's expression change from casual indifference to outright shock. His spoon hovered mid-air, the jam trembling precariously on the edge as his face paled. "Harry?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern, but he didn't respond. His eyes were fixed on the letter in his hands, his mouth slowly dropping open as if he'd just read something unimaginable. She reached out, placing a gentle hand on his arm. "Harry, what is it?" she pressed, her tone firmer now. Still, he didn't move, didn't blink, didn't breathe.

Without a word, he handed her the letter, his fingers trembling slightly as they released the parchment. Hermione's brow furrowed as she took it, her eyes scanning the contents.

Dear Harry

Hope you're having a great week at Hogwarts honey, things are pretty well at home but we do have something we need to tell you. We were going to wait until you came home for the weekend but honestly we couldn't wait.

I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes, Harry, because I have the most unexpected news to share with you. You see, sweetheart, life has a way of surprising us when we least expect it, and I... I'm pregnant.

I know, I can barely believe it myself. At 37, I thought those days were long behind us, but it seems Merlin has other plans. Your father is over the moon, and while I'm still trying to wrap my head around it all, I couldn't keep this from you a moment longer. The thought of you having a little brother or sister... It's daunting, I won't lie, but it's also incredibly exciting. I hope you'll be okay with this, Harry. You've always been such an amazing son, and I know this might come as a shock, but I truly believe this is a blessing.

We'll talk more about it this weekend, I promise. For now, just know that we love you more than anything, and we're all in this together, always.

With all my love,

Mum

P.S. Harry I'm sorry, your dad accidentally drank that potion project you and Hermione were working on, there is a little of it left so hopefully you can still work with that, if not please let me know and I'll have a word with Professor Slughorn and explain the situation.

Hermione's eyes widened as she read the letter, her face paling in shock. "Harry," she whispered, her voice trembling, "I think I might have... I didn't mean to..." She couldn't finish the sentence, her hands shaking as she clutched the parchment. The realization hit her like a ton of bricks—she had accidentally helped his parents get pregnant with the potion they had been working on. The thought sent a wave of guilt and panic through her.

Just then, Luna Lovegood floated over, her ethereal presence a stark contrast to the tension at the table. "Is everything alright?" she asked, her voice soft and concerned. "You both look like you've seen a ghost. Did someone die?"

"Quite the opposite in fact" Hermione mumbles out.

Author's Notes:
And so ends another story, as mentioned this was meant as a bit of palate cleanser as I didn't want to have two long stories one after the next, speaking of which the tale begins on Monday, and it's personally still even now my personal favourite amongst those I've written so far.

Also a thank you to everyone who favourited/followed/liked the story, It's always appreciated.
