Epilogue - The Morning After

Daren wakes up with the most confusing feeling. He can't help but feel he was dreaming of something wild. It felt so real. And yet, nothing like he ever felt before. He can't seem to remember what exactly happened. But there is this nagging feeling at the back of his mind, that something is off. He groans, rubbing his face, trying to shake off the remnants of his slumber. The light coming from the window is blinding. How long did he sleep?

"Good morning sleepy head." A familiar voice greeted him. He turns to the side and sees Brenda, sitting on the sofa next to the window, already dressed and looking radiant.

"Hey... good morning." He smiles back, still feeling groggy. "What time is it?"

"It's almost 9. You slept like a log. Guess the wedding took a lot out of you, huh?" She giggles, standing up and walking to the bed.

"Yeah... I guess. Though I could swear we didn't get to... y'know..." He blushed, sitting up, "But maybe it's for the better... I don't think I can perform at all last night. I'm beat." He admits, feeling a bit disappointed. Their first night as a married couple should have been more special.

"Well, don't worry about that." Brenda says, sitting down next to him, her hand on his thigh. "We got the rest of our honeymoon to make up for it. And trust me, you're going to need the rest." She winks, leaning in to kiss him.

Daren returns the kiss, but there is something odd about her lips. They feel... different. Like they have been through a lot more than just a simple goodnight kiss. He frowns slightly, pulling back. "You taste... funny. Did you have breakfast already?" He asked, confused.

Brenda blink, then laughs, covering her mouth. "Oh I see, I get the one bad morning breath, and you call me out on it." She shakes her head in amusement. "It's not like yours is a bed of rose, mister." She retorted.

"Okay okay... sorry. It's just... I thought..." He scratched his head, trying to remember what felt so strange. He then catches a whiff of his own breath by cupping his palm and blowing air into it. The scent is... odd. Not bad, but not what he would consider morning breath. It smells almost... salty. "Huh. That's weird..." He mutters, staring at his hand.

"What is it?" Brenda asks, her tone curious, yet he can see a glint of something else in her eyes. Something mischievous, like she knows what it is.

"Oh... nothing. Must be the aftertaste from last night's drinks." He lied, not wanting to make a big deal out of it. "Let's get ready to go downstairs and eat then. Or do you want to do room service?" He offers, putting the strange feeling aside for now.

"Let's go out. I want to show you off as my hubby." She grins, kissing his cheek. "And besides, Chloe and the girls are waiting for us. We promised to have brunch together, remember?"

"Oh yeah... how can I forget." Daren smiles, standing up. "Well, let me go shower first then."

"Okay, I'll get our things ready." Brenda says, her eyes following him as he walks to the bathroom.

With it, the rest of the day is at hand. The newlywed spouse spends time with friends, laughing, reminiscing the previous day, and generally having a good time. Yet for Brenda, the day is more than that. It's the start of a new era in her life. She is now a wife, a loyal loving wife, to a man she adores and respects. And at the same time, she is also the willing slut, the eager whore, the faithful servant to the man she worships and loves unconditionally.

A paradox that only she, and the other women of the world, can comprehend.

And as she looks at Daren, chatting away with the rest of the gang, she feels nothing but happiness. The happiness of knowing she made the right choice in her life. That everything she has is exactly what she wants. That her life is perfect. Because she is not just living for herself, but for her love. And more importantly, she lives to be enjoyed by the one man who deserves her all and the rest of womankind. And for that, she wouldn't change a thing. Not even for the world. Her wedding was perfect, and it's only going to get better from here.

Plus, she can’t wait for the day that Liam would tell her to show Daren their actual wedding video.

Hope y'all enjoy the story this time, again to repeat the question I have on the start of the story. This is the first mention of Edenville and its personnel, albeit a minor one, in the writing I published. Idk whether to consider it a separate continuity to the 'loose'/'scattered' Liam stories or not. The question is that I'm conflicted in putting Liam in this elevated status quo. As I'm afraid that it will lessens the impact of the 'average guy' vibe Liam has to contrast the thing he gets into. So let me know what you guys think, and hopefully I get the chance to publish the move to Edenville story without much delay so you guys can get informed about it!
