Epilogue: Enter Black Widow

Emily Briggs sat down at her desk to take a short break before reviewing some new job applications. She'd gotten quite a number of calls and emails after X'ara's big debut at the fashion show -- the alien beauty was now very much in demand, and the offers Emily was receiving were very lucrative indeed. Most importantly, though, X'ara was safe, and it wasn't just her -- other hopeful models had begun telling their stories about the abuse and exploitation they'd suffered at the hands of Kingsley industries. Still, even with Hobgoblin in prison and Kingsley Industries' downfall, there was plenty of work to be done cleaning out corruption in the fashion industry. With that in mind, Emily's thoughts turned to her upcoming meeting with a SHIELD agent that the organization's director, Nick Fury, had contacted Emily about hiring for an undercover job. Emily had plenty of questions, and as she continued her tasks, she mentally prepared herself for her meeting.

Soon, it was time for the appointment, and the agent in question walked through Emily's door. Emily eyed up the woman; she indeed had supermodel good looks, and an aura of confidence that would lend itself well to the job.

"Natasha Romanoff, I presume?" Emily greeted the redheaded agent. "Nice to meet you. I'm Emily Briggs..."
