Particularly Unique Examples and Species:
Entry #2, Deyetaur
GENERAL OVERVIEW
(A theological headache on four legs.)
The Deyetaur presents a marvelous conundrum for ecclesiastical scholars—or, failing that, proof enough that the Great Mother possesses an incredibly specific, aggressively bovine sense of humor. On paper, she is a textbook case of an entirely artificial Monster Girl; historical records confidently assert that not a single Deyetaur trod the earth until a few centuries ago. Yet today, they can be found naturally reproducing and thriving in the wild, treated spiritually and legally with the same sacred reverence as any ancient, primordial lineage.
How does the orthodox church square this circle? Most commonly, high-minded theologians point to Goddess Elmerelda’s divine domains of charity and adoption. The prevailing theory suggests that once the Deyetaur proved capable of perfectly natural, stable reproduction, the Great Mother simply shrugged, deemed them "natural enough," and wrapped them in Her official blessing. Conversely, less rigid—and arguably more honest—scholars have long joked that the Goddess simply has an unyielding fondness for cows and couldn't resist adopting the design into her portfolio.
Visually, they are impossible to mistake for anything else. A Deyetaur’s upper torso is that of an athletic, remarkably well-endowed human woman, capped with a pair of large, expressive cow ears and sweeping bovine horns. This humanoid half transitions seamlessly at the waist into a massive, deceptively muscular dairy cow. They lack the long, elegant, swift lines of a standard Centaur; instead, their lower bodies are built heavily for low-gear torque, industrial labor, and absorbing incoming impacts on the battlefield. When they loom over a standard human, the visual impression is an unsettling mix of standard barnyard livestock and sheer physical menace.
DISTINCTIVENESS & BIOLOGY
(Decidedly not 'just' a cow-centaur.)
Their biological advantages reveal their artificial origins far better than any old scroll. Unlike their standard Cow Girl cousins, who are famously flighty and easily startled by a sudden rustle in the brush, the Deyetaur possesses an innate, instinctive grasp of warfare and battlefield tactics. They do not scatter when ambushed; they form ranks.
And yet, right alongside this martial competence sits a deep-seated, hardwired yearning for domestic subordination. A Deyetaur is entirely content to labor away the daylight hours pulling heavily laden freight carts or allowing a rider upon her back—presuming, of course, that her recognized "owner" permits it, or she has deemed you worthy of the privilege. Then there is the matter of their psychological imprinting—perhaps the ultimate proof of their artificial engineering. A Deyetaur is mentally wired to anchor her psyche to a male who meets a specific set of internal criteria. Once this psychic bond takes hold, both the matriarchal herd and their future offspring pledge a terrifyingly absolute loyalty to him that persists until the day that father or master dies. Left without such a mate to serve, an unbonded herd rapidly encounters a listless, pathetic state of terminal depression.
MAGIC & LACTATION
(Industrial yields and tireless strides.)
Naturally, a Deyetaur produces milk, but to describe her output as merely "bountiful" is an insult to the sheer scale of the situation. We are talking upwards of ten gallons daily—a staggering volume that is, frankly, entirely impractical for anything short of commercial dairy logistics (the likes of which only came into being following the Deyataur's appearance for some 'mysterious' reason) or fueling a military campaign's supply lines.
This is no mere fluke of digestion; the overwhelming bulk of a Deyetaur's innate magic is channeled directly into enhancing, accelerating, and sustaining this massive lactation cycle, turning her body into a hyper-efficient magical engine. Whatever residual mana her soul can spare is funneled entirely into her physical stamina. A Deyetaur can march or labor for hours on end without displaying a single tremor of fatigue, provided she isn't marooned in a low-magic dead zone or actively burning her reserves in a bloody conflict.
Regarding their more intimate vulnerabilities—and I know exactly why you flipped to this section, you scoundrel—their psychological hardwiring cuts both ways. An unclaimed, unbonded Deyetaur is shockingly easy to seduce, operating with an inherent sexual submissiveness that makes them highly **** to clever suitors. Furthermore, they find the physical process of being milked intensely pleasurable—a trait that a wise partner or supervisor must manage with a degree of discretion to maintain any shred of decorum in the pastures.
