Chapter 665

What do you do?
Enter the mysterious door.
The air is warm and calm. Birds flutter by. While you were underground moments ago, you see clear blue sky above, and there are rolling green hills in every direction. There are large trees scattered throughout the land, and beautiful flowers of every colour grow between the soft blades of grass. A slow, crystalline stream flows nearby and off into the distance. Though strangely of all, at the foot of a towering redwood not far away is a gigantic figure sleeping in its shadow.
It's a cat, but certainly not an ordinary one. Not only is it the size of an elephant, but its a strange, spectral orange--glowing, almost like a ghost of some kind. It slowly opens its eyes at your arrival, which are a pure, radiant white. On its face are simple markings drawn up its cheeks and down from its eyes.
The door shuts behind you. It's nothing but a tablet sitting in space--nothing behind it, no mountain, no cave. You've certainly gone through some sort of portal, but you have no idea where you are now.
As you stand wondering what to do, the giant feline rises up from its nap. It arches its back and stretches while its gaping maw pulls open for a yawn. Slowly, it steps closer. You try to decide whether to attack or not, though it doesn't seem hostile at first. Whatever it is, it isn't running full-speed, growling, or doing anything aggressive, though its size is certainly intimidating.
It stops not far away. Then, it speaks. Its mouth doesn't move. Instead, the voice emits seemingly from nowhere. Perhaps from everywhere. It's feminine, deep, calm, and mystical. "You did not heed my warning," she says. "Only my children are allowed within, and even then--"
Snow drops to her knees. "It can't be... Oh, please forgive me! These are close friends of mine. You can trust them as much as you can trust me. Are you truly who I think you are?"
The creature is engulfed in white, and the shape shrinks down to the size of a human. Then as the glow disappears, what's left is a woman. She has the ears of a feline atop her head, as well as a long, fluffy tail. She has radiant orange irises, and the markings previously on her face are still present in the same manner, yet appear as orange paint. Her hair is white, but even moreso than Snow's. It actually glows, and the same goes for her tail. Though both fade faintly to orange at the ends. Said hair rolls down her beautiful, fair skin, halfway down her body. It covers both of her breasts in such a perfect manner that it can't just be coincidence. No matter how she moves, the hair remains positioned exactly enough to cover the tips. However, she wears nothing else but a white loin cloth decorated with orange triangles around the edges, and it doesn't look like there's anything beneath it.
She looks to be a just little bit taller than you, like Niki. She has a nice, perky bust, a slim, sexy body, and she has an aura that reminds you of Dajy. Despite looking more like an angel than a demon, her presence is powerful, just in a way you've never experienced. You understand now what Snow was talking about. It's a feeling you can't quite describe, as you've never felt it before.
"Rise, my child," she says. "And whether or not I trust and of you is to be seen. You've travelled far and been through much, so I'll hear what you have to say at the very least. So speak then. What brings you to my home?" Despite her new form, every word she speaks still reverberates in a supernatural manner.
"I'm so confused," you say quietly. "Who is she?"
Snow stands and clears her throat. "Despite not knowing how she'd look, deep down, somehow I know. It's in my blood. There's no doubt about it. The woman who stands before us is none other than Feli, the mother of my kin. The Goddess of Catfolk. I honestly thought she might be a myth, or at least long gone from our world. But now I know why I was drawn here, Kyle. I just--I don't know what to say."
"It's fine." You place a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry. We're all here with you."
The goddess stands before you. She places her arms beneath her bust as she crosses them and observes for a moment, and then she finally speaks again. "Very interesting. You're kind folk, not thieves. You're not here to slay me, nor are you grave robbers. You certainly came to find treasure, but it's not for impure reasons, and I know you wouldn't perform evil feats to obtain it."
"Are you reading our minds?" Taiga asks.
She shakes her head. "I see more than others. Though I can't read your mind, I can sense your intentions. For example, I can tell that two of you are practically glowing, while the other two are rather... uncomfortable still. Something quite interesting must have happened before you entered my realm. This is the power of my Kitty Sense."
You can't help but let out a quite snicker. Kitty Sense?
Feli shoots a gaze to you. "Is something funny?"
"No, ma'am," you swiftly reply.
Snow runs her hand through her hair. "Please... I have more self-control than that, my goddess. I'm quite comfortable I assure you."
You look past her to where she was previously sleeping. The area has been flattened out to make a proper bed, and the flowers grow more plentifully in that direction. There are various fruits laying in the grass, and there's also something hanging from the redwood itself, but you can't quite make it out from here. It looks like a painting or some other decoration.
"Are you truly a deity?" you ask. "I just... I've met a lot of powerful beings, but I've never met someone who is an actual god."
Feli steps slower towards you. It's true that this is a brand new experience, so you really have no idea what to do or say. You try hard not to stare at her beautiful chest, even as it bounces while she walks--even if the hair from her head barely covers them up in a teasing manner. If she is a god, you don't want to her to smite you or something.
"Hundreds of years ago, I created the catfolk race," she says. Her fluffy tail shifts left and right in a hypnotic motion. "But now I choose not to interfere with mortal affairs. My job is complete. Now I live out the rest of my existence in this pocket space of my own creation, far from the worries of the world. There's nothing else I can offer, nor is there anything else I wish to offer... I sense within you something familiar, yet also something completely different."
"So we're both feeling something new to us," you respond.
She places a hand on your chest and slowly feels down your torso. "You're not a human. At least, not as this world knows. You're something similar from a place far away. Extremely similar, yet the differences are crucial. You've been artificially altered. Otherwise, you'd have no mana within you. It would be impossible. A traveller from Earth isn't unheard of, but I've never felt a body like yours. Your class... It isn't a part of Goa's gift. Something is wrong. Yet you've hit a peak, whether you realize it or not. I have a feeling you're as uncertain as I am."
"I don't quite understand what you mean," you say.
"It's malleable. All of it. You've been made to bend to another's will but you were able to resist. I'd like to know your names."
"I'm Kyle Warren... uh, my goddess."
"My name is Yin." She curtsies politely.
Snow keeps herself together enough to muster a response. "My name is Snow. It's an absolute honour to meet you. I'm not worthy."
"Please," says Feli. "From what I can tell, you are worthy enough."
"And I'm Taiga." The bee salutes. "Warrior serving under the Demon King, Lord Warren."
You didn't--...
Everything goes silent. Feli tilts her head and inspects you closely. "Demon King?" she asks. "Why does she refer to you as Demon King?"
"Uh. W-Well, it's a long story," you stutter out quickly. "Some people decided to start calling me that, but it's all a misunderstanding. I think someone has been trying to frame me for some reason."
She turns away from you. Slowly, she steps the other direction. Her ass is prominent with only a loin cloth between her legs. As she moves, her hips sashay, and her tail weaves back and forth. She doesn't say anything for a moment, but then she raises her hand up and beckons you closer. "Come," she says. "Follow me and take a seat."
