Ensure Tack has an "Accident" while on Patrol

Madeline knew she had to end this whole ordeal with Tack. At least--she wanted to. She also knew she had enough reputation from her fellow Powder Gangers to ensure that no one asked too many questions.

One day on a patrol of the wasteland Madeline waited for her opportunity to arrange an accident. She waited for the Gangers to lie in wait for some poor soul. A ragged band of prospectors--honestly they looked like bandits, but the Gangers weren't picky. The four doomed souls didn't see the attack coming but even still they managed to put up stiff resistance.

As the Gangers surged forward Madeline readied her pistol.

"Tack!" she yelled over the gunfire and screaming charges and shrill voices of the gangers and the prospectors. He turned around just in time to see Madeline level her weapon at him. He moved to bring his own weapon up at her. She squeezed the trigger in rapid succession. Tack slumped with a lurch as the first round hit him in the chest, a powder of red mist exploding from his skin. The second round caught him in the shoulder. The third missed as he fell, firing his own weapon in vain at Madeline.

He groaned in pain as the dirt soaked up his pooling blood. Madeline put two more rounds into his chest at point blank range. She had wanted him to suffer--but she could risk him surviving--like the rad roach son of a bitch might. She had to be sure.

After the brief chaos of the attack was over the gangers gathered around the corpse of Tack.

"Looks like those prospectors sure put up a hell of a fight boss." one Ganger said. Those around nodding in assent.

"Shame they got Tack." Madeline said dryly. "He'd want you boys to have his gear. Help yourself." They grinned as the pack jumped to disarm, disrobe, and divest him of anything he had of value.

Finally she could be at some peace.
