With a sigh you decline the invitation:
"I've got jobs to hunt." And shortly log off. You spend your time clicking through crappy hospitality and retail jobs, sending CVs to ones that look halfways bearable with little enthusiasm. A cup noodle and a few hours on netflix and you are ready to drift off to sleep. As you lie back in bed, eyelids drooping, your phone flashes. Sleepily, you look at the message. It's a DM from Yara which reads:

Yarayara: "hey cass, there are some weird stuffs going on with lula, the girl i introduced today. we can talk about it tomorrow but if you are awake i would appreciate a help."

You roll your eyes. Typical Yara, fronting confidence then having it all come crashing down when things get difficult.

Cassette: "im here, what is it?"
Yarayara: "oh hey tyty. she's just sorta"

There's a pause between messages.

Yarayara: "like very sexual."

You roll your eyes again. Hasn't Yara heard of too much information?

Cassette: "is that a problem?"
Yarayara: "well no, like im into her, but this..."
Cassette: "she isnt like harassing you or anything right?"
Yarayara: "not really, like im into it but its weird too"
Cassette: "well tell her that then. communication is key"
Yarayara: "yeah i guess."

You sigh, shoving the phone under your pillow.

Its morning before you realise it. You moan as warm sunlight crosses your back and road traffic noise rumbles outside. You feel you are still clutching the phone, and slowly, stiffly, withdraw it from under the pillow. The screen is still unlocked and there are more messages, along with a blinking low battery message.

Yarayara: "she just said some stuff about 'tasting' which i thought was extra kinky lmao"
Yarayara: "and i swear her teeth are like really sharp"

There's a pause in messaging, then:

Yarayara: "okay so we kissed and it was nice, better than nice really, but her tongue is like weirdly long."
Yarayara: "and i swear her eyes are like glowing."
Yarayara: "u there?"

There is another pause.

Yarayara: "hey cass, im at lulas place. she's so hot and sexy and i feel a little weird."
Yarayara: "she didnt need to spikemetho lool"

There is another pause and you frown, the battery icon flickering more urgently.

Yarayara: "shit cass she bit me she fucking like on the neck it was so hot but there was a lot of blood."
Yarayara: "shes coming back now and i cant wait but i know its wrong so i thought id send you a quick m"

The messages stop there. You stare at it wide eyed, beginning to type quickly before your phone dies.
