Just outside the door of their English classroom, Alicia's guilt finally became too much to bear, so she stopped Erica from going in. "Erica," she informed her friend, "don't look now, but it looks like Lisa got you."

Erica's eyes widened in alarm. "What did she do?" she asked in a panic.

"Your nightgown looks like it's been cut."

Erica stared at her friend wide-eyed. The realization that not only did she have to go to class wearing only a sheer nightgown which had now been sabotaged, but she also had to present a report at the front of the class had settled into her mind and she started to panic.

Alicia pulled Erica away from the classroom with concern in her eyes. "Erica, are you ok?" she asked.

"No, Alicia. How am I going to present like this?"

Alicia rolled her eyes. "Come on, Erica. I'd never let you make your presentation like this." She grabbed Erica in a side hug and tried to put her at ease. "As soon as I noticed, I pulled you aside so we could figure out what to do." Erica didn't see the crossed fingers behind Alicia's back. "Come on. I have a spare outfit in my locker."
