End of Genesis: Unexpected Volunteers

"So... Gustang... Just how long it would take for you to destroy Genesis and make sure it's buried under piles of debris and ash? I can't wait to see that happen..." Gustang looked at Yurin exasperatedly. Honestly, he was expecting her to be fed up of Genesis after her granddaughter was captured, but can't she see this needs careful planning?

"Approximately... A year and a half." Yurin glared at him, as did Blossom. Really? Were they expecting it to be over within just a few months?

"It must be done in STAGES, with CAREFUL CALCULATION. Especially the floor that holds my daughter captive... That takes up the year. The Regular sect isn't that hard, but it still takes a month. The Ranker section will take a month and a half, the High Ranker section 2 months, and the Solitary Grounds would take another month and a half..." Gustang declared with as much composure he could muster.

"Are you suggesting i put the entire plan in jeopardy, Yurin? Your granddaughter and my daughter will be free, but mess this up and you will find that everything can fall apart. "Would you shut up and let us speak, my ex? We're not suggesting you hasten your plan... We're suggesting... That you add in two more people who could reduce the time needed to only 10 months..." "And who exactly could-" Gustang stopped himself from his cynical question when he realized what the two women before him were talking.

"Don't tell me-" "Yes Gustang... I am suggesting that we too get in on your plan. We know you have in your disposal more of the others who want to rebel against Zahard... Use them to put up a convincing story that they saw us rebelling, and then have them capture us." With them gone, Gustang drank 10 bottles of wine, which would only be surpassed over his life by the 20 bottles he drank after his daughter was sentenced.

After that, Gustang called in the people he could trust.

First would be Ari Han. He may dislike Yurin, but seeing how hellish Genesis is, he had to make sure Yurin would be oversaw by someone she was... Intimately familiar with.

And he sympathized with Han as Han sputtered and choked upon hearing what his ex-lover wanted to do. Han had after all decided to secretly allign himself with Gustang because he felt disillusioned with everything, although he only agreed to certain helps, still wishing to keep peace. But Han had agreed, after some coaxing.

He then went to contact Eduan. After all, to make it look convincing, they had to make it look like they were captured by people they knew to be stronger. And Eduan had agreed after taking 10 minutes to drink to numb the shock of Yurin's crazy plan.

Finally, Gustang contacted Hana. Hana's reaction was more... Emotional and disapproving. She knew what Genesis was like. She didn't want her friends to go through that. And Gustang had sympathized with her. It was after half an hour of debate that she finally agreed to help.

Gustang let out a deep breathe...
