How does the day proceed?
Encountering Megumin.
They spotted another game hosted by a street vendor, who was challenging people to break Adamantite, even allowing magic use. Kazuma suggested Yunyun try, but she refused, saying that it would take Explosion magic to break the material... Naturally, that's when Megumin showed up... fortunately, she was pinned down by another adventurer before she could blow them all to kingdom come with her use of Explosion.
"I take my eyes off of you for a lousy minute," Kazuma huffed.
"I didn't even do anything!" Megumin pouted.
"What are you up to, anyway?" Kazuma asked her.
"Just walking around, killing time..." Megumin shrugged.
"Pretty much what we were doing... How about you join us Yunyun?" Kazuma asked.
"Um... Er... I came to do battle with Megumin, not make friends!" she denied unconvincingly. "So I'll have to turn you down!"
"...and you can't make friends along the way?" Kazuma pointed out, making her blush and sputter.
"She always was a weird one," Megumin noted. "She's the only one in the clan embarrassed about our unique and badass names..."
"Unique is right, badass, I contest," Kazuma deadpanned, getting Megumin riled up again.
"...regardless! She also doesn't like our trend of talking up our amazing abilities! She's always embarrassed when she does to prove her identity or anything like that. It's why she had some trouble making friends!" Megumin deflected.
"Not true! I did too have friends!" Yunyun protested. "Funifura-san and Dodonka-san! They would always say they were my friends, and I would treat them to lunch!" she declared.
"...they were taking advantage of you," Megumin deadpanned. "They always talked behind your back about how weird you were, and how easy it was to get you to buy them lunch... At least I had the decency to win them."
"...WHAAAT!?" Yunyun whined, her world shattered.
"That's enough Megumin," Kazuma sweat dropped. '...so this poor girl caught some flak for being pretty much the only remotely sane person in her entire village huh? In a world without common sense, that must have been tough...' he thought. He definitely wanted her in his harem now... It would give him someone to relate to a bit more, and she could use some of the same...
