Emotionless emotion

The next couple days are a blur, and you find it hard to concentrate on your training for some reason. You also endure a lot of knowing looks from the girls. The biggest surprise, however, happens Saturday morning.

You just finished working out with Maya and Kali. It’s distracting, having those two with you, wearing very little, sweating and bending, and you’re sure they do it in front of you intentionally. Not that you’re complaining! Afterwards, you shower, dress, and sit down on your bed to relax for a minute. You start wondering how your date tonight will go when there’s a soft knock on your door.

Standing in the doorway is Yura. Clearly someone took her shopping, because she’s wearing clothes that show her figure more than her shaman dress. Cut off jean shorts reveal most of her legs, and a tight T-shirt which highlights her breasts, with just a sliver of her softly rounded midriff showing. Her long black hair is tied in a ponytail, and she looks at you with her strange purple eyes. She could pass for a college student, but for the obvious magic dancing in those eyes.

“Can we talk? I want to say something.”

You nod, “Of course Yura! What can I help you with?”

Yura walks over and timidly sits beside you in the edge of the bed. Once again there’s a faint blush to her golden brown cheeks. She can’t seem to figure out what to do with her hands, moving them around on her bare thighs. The display of nervousness is the most emotion you’ve seen from her since the smile she gave you during her first swim.

“I like you Josh. It is no secret. And I can see you watch me. Do you think I am pretty?”

“Of course! And I’ve said so before. You’re gorgeous!”

“I have trouble with emotions. But when I look at you...I feel things. A fluttering. You understand?”

You nod, and carefully you reach out and gently take her hand. Yura takes a breath, eyes on your hand as you hold hers.

“We did this. The first day. When you...protected me.” She looks up at you. “I knew then that I would follow you anywhere. Even without the vision.”

You smile at her and give her hand a squeeze. “I would want you close even without your vision, Yura. You may not show much emotion but little things give it away.” You reach up with your other hand, gently touching her slightly blushing cheek. “And it makes your little smiles so much more special. The other girls have already taken to you, and you already know I like you.”

Yura looks into your eyes, and the hand holding yours trembles slightly. “Can I...kiss you?”

Instead of answering, you lean closer, smiling as her eyes close. As you lean in, you feel her breath quicken slightly. Your lips meet hers, and you kiss her. Not passionately, but gently. Slowly her lips part and your tongues touch, ever so slightly, before the kiss ends. You look at her as you sit back up. She doesn’t move for a moment, eyes closed and mouth slightly open. Slowly, her eyes open, and a tear rolls down one cheek.

“Thank you Josh. That was...perfect.” Yura turns away, and you see her wipe her eyes. “I am sorry. I am just so happy. I will go now...”

She stands to leave, but you stop her, and pull her into another gentle kiss. This one lasts almost a minute, and as you pull away, you feel a shiver run through her.

Yura looks at you, blushing more now, and gives you the same small smile you saw in the pool that first day. Then she turns and leaves.
