Emma Frost - The White Queen, and Laura’s new warden

“Wait a minute…”

Laura muttered to herself, pieces falling together in her head, she had yet to see who was approaching her, and yet her enhanced senses already painted a picture as clear as day. The telltale sound of clicking heels, the scent of expensive perfume and makeup, a faint smell of whiskey and wine. The feral mutant’s green eyes widened as she finally realised who it was who was approaching her cell.

“Hello, darling.”

Before Laura stood a blonde-haired telepath, one that towered over the Wolverine clone, compared to Laura’s 5”1, this woman stood at about 5”10, X-23 barely even coming up to her shoulder. The younger mutant grimaced as the woman practically strutted into view, already preparing for the worst.

“Emma Frost…” Laura grumbled, crossing her arms and facing down the woman before her, an eyebrow raised as she realised Emma had changed costumes, once again wearing the one she had when she was a villain, nothing but a pair of white panties, leather stockings, a corset and a cape, Laura had to resist the urge to stare as she saw the woman’s exposed form. Compared to Laura’s collar, tight striped top, shorts and pink bra underneath, she felt more than a little underdressed, and childish in comparison to Emma.

“Laura Kinney, how was your little trip here, darling? I heard you had an accident on the way in, I guess it makes sense Wolverines aren’t house trained.” Emma mocked, causing the younger mutant’s cheeks to flush in embarrassment as the clone felt a strong desire to try and reach through the bars and slash at Emma with her claws.

Getting straight to the point as always, Laura tried to ignore Emma’s mocking comments, glaring at the woman defiantly. “Why am I in a cell, and you’re free to roam this prison?” Laura demanded angrily, crossing her arms and trying to hold her head high.

The telepathic mutant just chuckled, “Well, little clone. I made a deal with the management, it was quite simple, really. I could work with them, or end up in a cage, just like you.” She explained, “I’m smart enough to know when I’m outmatched, and when the entirety of the X-Men are too. I made the right choice. And as an added bonus, I get to ‘see to’ the prisoners, including you.” She finished, smirking a little as Laura’s eyes widened, already expecting the worst. Emma had tormented Laura when she first arrived at the Xavier Institute, using her powers to humiliate and belittle the clone, and that was when Emma was a hero, working as a headmistress of the Institute. What would Emma be willing to do now that she had chosen to be a villain again?!
