Emily

I just realized that I haven't introduced you to Emily yet, the vampire who gave me 5he dark gift and who has mentored me so far. A very important person in my story to say the least.

Emily Cartwright appears to be in her late twenties but is actually two hundred and ninety-six years old. She was born to an aristocratic family in London England. She has accumulated quite a bit of wealth in the span of her lifetime and owns various properties both here in the United States and Europe.

I have to say she is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. Long jet black hair and deep brown eyes with a perfect hourglass figure. Athough she has told me that both fear and pain enhance the taste of the blood we feed on she prefers to use fear instead of pain. Take the night she gave me the dark gift. She went from the beautiful woman I was making love too in her hotel room to a hideous almost demonic appearing monster right before sinking her fangs into my neck.

Have you ever been so petrified with fear that you couldn't even scream? That's how it was for me. I couldn't believe what was happening. I mean let's be real, up until then I thought vampires were merely myth. The stuff of Hollywood and horror novels yet there I was with a vampire drinking my blood. I consider myself fortunate that I was able to plead for my life and even more fortunate that she decided to take pity on me.

Since that evening she has patiently mentored me and believe me when I say I needed her patience. You should have seen how long it took her to teach me how to transform into various animals, it was quite the comedy of errors I'm here to tell you. Yes it's a lot harder than the Dracula movies make it out to be. We don't just automatically know these things. Turning into mist form and hypnoses/telepathy were just slightly easier to learn but not by much.

She also taught me how to hunt my prey cautiously and how not to draw unwanted attention on to myself.

Yes she has been a great mentor and friend.
