Emily falls asleep in Lauren’s arms

Within a few hours of Lauren holding Emily in her arms, Emily fell asleep, snuggling closely. Lauren smiled as she looked at Emily sleeping peacefully. Lauren couldn’t help but laugh a little at the gentle soft snores coming from Emily. Lauren brushed her hair out of her face and kissed her forehead. She saw Emily smile despite having her eyes still shut.

“I love you,” Lauren whispered. “I’m here for you. I’ll protect you, I promise.”

Emily’s eyes opened slightly and she whispered. “I love you too.”

And then Emily fell back to sleep, dozing off. Lauren grinned and kissed Emily on her lips and then closed her eyes, falling asleep.

The two spooned each other as Lauren dreamed all about Emily and Emily dreamed all about Lauren and for the moment they were at peace in their sleep.
