Emily Mckellen and Joey Kain

Emily took a double take, she must of heard Ms. Pomeroy incorrectly, there was no way in hell she got paired with Joey Kain. Looking to Zack for confirmation she saw the grim look on his face and she realized that she hadn't heard incorrectly she was going to be sharing a romantic scene with Joey Kain, friend to the douchebag she hated. To add to her suffering Zack got partnered with that bitch Heather Reeves. Heather Reeves bullied Emily and Chloe throughout school and even spread fake gossip about Emily and Chloe being lesbians. Fortunately for the two it backfired on Heather and made the girls more popular, but now that green eyed snake with her braided dark brown hair and D cup breasts were going to be all over her boyfriend. She sat and watched in dismay as Ms. Pomeroy finshed and Heather immediately made a B-line for Zack. Violent thoughts began to form in Emily's mind before she heard a voice awkwardly trying to get her attention. Turning to the sound of the voice she saw Joey holding out a script to her, his eyes glancing downwards to his hands and cheeks flushed red. "I umm grabbed you a script...I understand if you want to change partners or something. I can't imagine you're too pleased to see me after this morning..." Emily could swear he looked embarrased and maybe a bit ashamed. Wait, was he trying to apologize? Is Joey Kain actually a decent guy stuck with douchebags?

"Uh thanks Joey and yeah I'm going to be honest I'm not too thrilled to be partnered with you." He slumped to the chair next to her and ran his hands through his hair.

"I know I'm so so so sorry Emily, what Greg said to Chloe and you was so wrong. I just....I just... I'm just a nobody and even though he treats me like shit he's the only friend I've had and I don't want him to beat the shit out of me....and..and.. I'm nothing but a coward aren't I?" Joey's face fell into his hands and for a brief second Emily thought she heard a sniffle. Immediately Emily felt so bad for Joey, the poor guy was clearly distressed with his situation but didn't feel like he had any other option to get out of it. Was he a victim of circumstance? Was Joey just a sad, loner who like anybody else just wanted to feel like he was part of something? Just wanting to feel like he could be valued? Wanted?

Emily knew what she had to do, "Okay Joey, I accept your apology but you have to promise me a few things first, deal?" She looked at the boy and he turned his head to her, his eyes wet and nodded eagerly. "Good! First things first no more pity party, you're clearly a nice guy who wants to do good so you'll make friends when you stop hanging around assholes. No more hanging with Greg and his goons, make some friends with the drama kids they feel alone too. Secondly, you're going to be Romeo for our performance, you need the ego boost and to be in charge for once, even on stage, will be good for you. Finally you need to nail this performance so I can show Heather who the better woman is. Can you do that?" Emily didn't break eye contact with the boy and saw his face lighten up and fill with hope. She couldn't help but smile back, "Awesome I'm glad you're with me on this let's start to rehearse."

As class began to draw to a close, Emily and Joey had begun to memorize their lines and Joey was even beginning to develop some stage direction. Emily liked seeing this motivated and slightly confident Joey. Emily isn't the only one feeling good about his new found confidence and as the two begin to rehearse their last few lines. Joey used some of that new found confidence to kiss Emily on the lips when he finished delivering his lines. Emily was too stunned to react at first but as soon as she gathered herself she pushed Joey off her as the bell rang for lunch.

Joey looked horrified as he realized what he just did, stammering out a quick apology and using his script to cover his sudden erecrion he ran out of class. Emily stood there in shock until she felt a tap on her shoulders. Turning around she saw Zack and immediately wanted to panic! Did he see that? Is he pissed? Oh god he's going to break up with me! "So how was your rehearsal with Joey?"

Was this some sort of test to see if she'd answer truthfully? Should she answer truthfully? A million thoughts raced through her mind and for a brief moment there was flicker of a thought, should I tell him it turned me on? "Yeah babe it was okay, I think there's more to Joey then he lets on." Oh god here it comes, this was it, this is where she lost the guy she wanted a relationship with.

"Cool I'm glad you liked it, Heather won't stop touching me so boo I'm really sorry but you know Ms. Pomeroy will fail us if we don't go with our partners action on stage. I don't know what she'll do when we perform at weeks end but please, please don't hold it against me I need this class to try and get in for the musical." Emily was shell shocked she was the one who had been kissed and who kinda enjoyed it and here was her boyfriend apologizing for something that might not even happen. Emily was positive her luck had turned around and planned to use all the good luck she could in the moment.

"It's not a problem babe I know she's doing it to try to get to me. I mean it means nothing since it's on stage so it's no big deal, right? Like you wouldn't be upset if something happened onstage between Joey and I since it's out of my control and I don't want to fail." Oh my god was she really trying to justify getting kissed by Joey?!? If it worked out no harm, no foul, right?

"Of course boo, I know it means nothing and you know it means nothing it's just for class and as long as we're open about it, it won't be an issue." He leaned in and kissed her lightly on the lips, this did nothing to help arousal. First she loved Zack so his kiss turned her on and secondly in essence he just gave her permission to kiss Joey for the drama performance. Emily hungrily kissed Zack before realizing her crotch was wet again, and she needed to go to the washroom. Giving Zack her stuff for their locker she said she'd meet him in the cafeteria, once she used the facilities. With that she bolted to the washrooms to tend to her sudden needs.
