Elise

“So, you said you wish to attend to other activities? Anything I can help with my Lady?” Celeste asked.

“Yes. I wish to meet with Elise briefly first. Then… what does Freya do again?” I asked.

“She cares for the animals on the estate my Lady.”

“Hmm. Definitely her next. I would like Natalia to accompany me there. I plan to visit Iris after that. Have Lillian accompany her. Actually go with them. I would like you to gather notes for Vivi.”

“As you wish my Lady. Are you sure you will be okay with Elise? Might I suggest sister Sofia going with you?”

“Hmm. Do you think it would be an issue?” I asked.

“Elise is… she doesn’t mean disrespect. And I do not actively think she would need to be stopped. I am the head maid though my Lady. I would be disrespecting my title if I did not try and ensure your day went as smoothly as it could possibly be,” she said with a warm smile.

“Okay,” I said as we made it to the main area that Celeste guided me too. All the girls were resting there and casually talking.

Celeste clapped her hands twice and got everyone’s attention and informed them of my plans. That currently only left Vivi and Marianne with nothing to do. Looking at them, they seemed concerned at that fact.

“Marianne and Vivi, I would like you to bathe each other. Do not rush. Enjoy it as a relaxing experience. This way you two are available after I have tended to the others.”

They gave a curtsy. “As you wish my Lady,” they said before walking off.

We all had our assignments. I tended walked towards Elise’s workshop. Upon entering I was actually quite a bit surprised. I was expecting mostly small wooden things but this workshop was immense. With sections for all sort of work, from leather, to stone, to glass, metal and wood.

“I generally do the leather,” Sofia added. “I also sometimes help with the precision work that doesn’t require muscles.”

“it is still impressive,” I said.

Elise gave a curtsy. “I am honored my lady. I can work on every type of material. I was good at such things even before I came to the estate but it has been my mission to meet the standards of an expert in every field. The only issue I have is when pure strength is required. Natalia assists me there.”

“Didn’t Sofia just say she assists with delicate work?” I asked.

“I did my Lady, but it is not a requirement. I only do so to lighten the load. Otherwise Elise can be overwhelmed.”

I smiled. “So sweet. I love it. First, I was wondering if you have glass vials for potions.”

“Would these serve your needs?” Elise asked as she brought over a case of glass work. About twenty empty vials in all.

“Very much so,” I said.

“I seek a request if I may,” Elise asked.

“Yes?” I asked.

“Would there be a potion that can increase my breast size? Oh!” she jumped up clearly excited. “And what about one that makes you horny! Or super sensitive!”

“Sister!” Sofia shouted.

Elise froze and went back into a curtsy and held the pose. “My apologies.”

“No,” I said.

“No? Do you reject my apology my lady?”

“No. I reject the need. As long as you don’t randomly grope me, I take no issue with your excitement, even if it is towards things more sexual in nature.”

“You honor me greatly my lady,” Elise said. “And please fear not. I would not think to place uninvited hands to our Lady of the Night.”

I gestured Sofia to come close and whispered in her ear. “When Elise is the Lady of the Night. Am I to expect she will likely grope us all?”

“Very much so my Lady,” she said with a smile. “It has thus far occurred without fail.”

I sighed. Well, that was a thing for another day. I turned to Elise. “Rise.”

She stood up. “I wish for you to craft new glasses for Victoria. I suppose I will need to use divination to provide measurements.”

Elise shook her head. “That shall not be needed my lady. I have excellent understanding of measurements. I have seen her glasses enough.”

I raised my eyebrows. “You are good at math?”

“I am sorry, I do not know if my ability would be considered good.”

I walked over to her empty work bench and set the oblong crate down. “How many of these crates could fit on this table? How much space would be left over? Do not move from that spot.”

She looked and then closed her eyes before giving me the correct answer.

I smiled. “Does the Master know of your math ability?”

She shook her head. “I did not consider it of use.”

“Well, we can save that for another day. How about the glass in Victoria’s glasses? Are you saying you can replicate that from sight alone too?”

“Erk… I… am afraid I cannot my lady,” Elise said.

I patted her on the head. “That would be beyond what I think anyone could see by sight.”

She smiled and pushed her head into my hand a bit.

“Might I make a suggestion?” Sofia said.

I nodded.

“When Elise completes the frames. I will fetch Victoria with Elise. We will give Elise a bath. Then I shall give Victoria a bath, and she can lastly give me one. Elise will have time to take Victoria’s glasses while we are washing to do the needed measurements.”

Elise jumped up. “Genius!”

Sofia coughed and Elise settled back down.

“When you are done with the glasses. Please present them to Celeste or Master as a gift from me, and then report to Vivi. I want you to assist her with any math she needs to do.”

“Yes my Lady,” the sisters said together.

“With that, I will report to the stables… which are…”

“As I am unneeded for this first part, I would happily guide you,” Sofia said.

That was a great help. This estate was huge. I hadn’t even seen the entire castle once yet. The castle didn’t actually look that old. The stone walls were still smooth from when they were originally made. Probably not more than ten to twenty years old. I wonder how Master came in possession of it. Actually. Duh. Charm. I laughed.
