Ed's mom is at the door

Ed froze as he considered what to do, Nyomai grabbed her shirt from the kitchen and walked to the front door.

"Who is it?" she asked through the closed door.

"It's Heather, can I come in, I need to talk about Ed's return. It's affected things with Idris" replied Ed's mom.

"Just a minute... I'm ah, just getting changed" replied Nyomai as she exchanged complicated hand signals with Ed that were basically give me my skirt and get out. Ed threw Nyomai her skirt but in his haste he couldn't see his clothes. His mom was making impatient noises and as soon as Nyomai had her skirt on she indicated to Ed that he should leave, "I put your clothes in the wash" Nyomai hissed at him, Ed panicked but knew he couldn't stay any longer so gave up and left through the back door.

It was only when Ed was standing outside that he realised his mistake, a calmer person would have snuck into Jamal's room and borrowed some clothes or just hid inside the house but in his haste he now found himself naked outside his neighbours house. He decided to seek refuge at Mason's, despite his nudity and the risk of floppy parts being injured he managed to hop over the fence to the sanctuary of Mason's house.

Alas, when he knocked on the back door he discovered that Mason had gone out. He tried the windows at he rear of the house but couldn't find a way in. He considered his options, he could stay here and wait for Mason to get home, hide in Nyomai's garden until his mom left, make his way through the neighbours back garden or streak across the cul de sac to Preeti's garden then hop the fence and sneak into his room. Of course he could always just calmly return to Nyomai's and explain the situation to his mom or saunter home as if he were out for a midday stroll.
