Dwarf Female

Now a dwarf is not usually stubborn for the sake of being stubborn (though it is certainly not unheard of). No, a dwarf is naturally stubborn because they are the most inherently logical of all the races. Their thought process consciously weighs every option, and subconsciously measures the perceived probabilities of each possible perceived outcome. This leads them to a conclusion that is to them, the optimal solution, and it often is. Therefore, why cede any facet of your point, if the conclusion you formed was the ideal one?

This typically is the reason cited (by the dwarves themselves) for why dwarves are considered by other races to be insufferably bull headed. This can also lead dwarves to be viewed as gruff and inconsiderate. After all "They're geniuses and being nice is what stupid people do to hedge their bets".

This means that if orcs are geniuses of intuition, then dwarfs are the geniuses of methodical thought. Dwarves often specialize in several types of science, mathematics, and engineering, whether it is architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, magitech engineering, alchemical engineering or something else will depend on the individual dwarf.

Dwarf society is rigid where the customs are stated, but very lax where there is no written customs. For instance a thief who is caught is expected to pay back twice the value of what has been stolen, but if you paid extra and didn't realize it, the other party is under no obligation to pay it back. There may be stiff penalties levied against a dwarf who is caught drunk or **** on the job, but during his time off, he can be as belligerently intoxicated in public on his day off and no one will think him the lesser for it.

While rare, above-ground dwarven fortresses and even rarer above-ground cities are the stuff of legends, their prosperity, security, and their geometrically perfect beauty is something that even the elves would struggle to match.

A dwarf's stalwart steadfastness also stands obstinate against the ravages of time. While not quite as long lived as the elves, it is not uncommon for a dwarf to live to be four-and-a-half centuries old, and some of the eldest graybeards have seen six centuries come to pass.

For having a society that seems so masculine, you may be surprised to know that dwarves have a remarkably egalitarian society. All female dwarves are provided with the exact same education and opportunities as the dwarf males. They typically take the same career paths as the males, and it is quite often that there are equal amounts of male and female dwarves working together at a blacksmith's shop, or any other place of business for the skilled trades, laborers, engineers, etc.

Though they fill the same career roles as the dwarven males, they are nonetheless feminine in their social roles. They are as secure in their femininity working hot steel on an anvil as they do when they dance in a fetching dress at the festivals with the attractive dwarf males or females. Similarly a male dwarf will dance about and sing songs in a kilt and feel no less masculine than if he were facing down a mountain bear in full battle regalia. The dwarves themselves are too practical and utilitarian to let things so petty and immaterial bother them. They scoff at chauvinist patriarchal tendencies of humans, as well as the equally jingoistic matriarchal societies of the drow. How stupid it is to snuff the talent of half of any given population in the crib? Dwarves see such illogical wastefulness as anathema.

Now, nearly any occupation can be filled in dwarf society by either sex. However, there are instances when both sexes need to be present for optimal progress. One of these things is negotiations and diplomacy. Dwarf females are likely to accept certain new ideas and information and can convince male dwarves that the new information is relevant and important enough to factor it into the solution, and vice-versa for male dwarfs in regard to their female counterparts. While not everyone's opinion gets factored into the majority decision, almost no feasible solutions are dismissed out of hand.

Female dwarves, many foreigners are surprised to see, are just as boisterous and jovial as their male counterparts under the right circumstances in their celebrations and exultations. They typically consume massive quantities of **** in order to overcome their constitutions, then stumble about drunkenly shouting profanities and carousing with their friends while flirting with any attractive dwarves that catch their eye.

Dwarf people are encouraged to reproduce with their betrothed once they find another dwarf with which to pair. The relationship is not exclusive, with both sides of the dwarf union often having many dalliances with other dwarves and even on a rare occasion a non-dwarf who happened to impress the particular dwarf in question. However both parties to the union must agree with any romantic and/or sexual relations that happen outside of their bond. This usually is a non-issue, as the dwarf pair often shares the same types of preferences that would include or exclude a potential partner.

Dwarven reproduction is a comparatively slow process, though for the majority of it, it doesn't slow the female dwarf down one bit. From the time a female dwarf voluntarily opens her cervix to allow sperm to fertilize, to birth of the baby will usually take from 9-10 months. However the pregnant female dwarf though aware of the developing pregnancy, is often not affected in the slightest other than an increased nutrition requirement. It is not until the last month or so that the pregnant dwarf will have any of the symptoms of pregnancy, by the time which she will have already been on maternity leave. Now dwarven society almost universally have mandated parental leave that starts at the 8th month of pregnancy, though some dangerous jobs begin the maternity leave earlier, and female dwarven soldiers are not allowed into any combat roles during any period of their pregnancy. During parental leave the dwarf couple are both compensated and are often even sent a handmade gift for the newborn by their immediate superior. This leave continues for 3 months after the child is born, and the parents may take half shifts at their careers until the child reaches the age of 5, after which they are cared for by their schools. Dwarven births are often quick events that are over within an hour, and are not typically very painful.

Dwarven women to many are very beautiful, they are often forwardly sexual creatures, who are not afraid to seize what they want in life. The life of a dwarf woman is often just as adventure and story filled as any other dwarf.
