Drowner Contract

After barely surviving in Novigrad for a few months, Triss decided to change things up. She had been surviving by scraping through on the kindness of strangers or the odd job people would hire a sorceress for like removal of rats. But even these things were drying up. So, she decided things might change if she could earn a bit more money.

One day, while in Gildorf Square, hiding in plain sight with her hood up purchasing alchemy ingredients, her eyes passed over the noticeboard there. There were a couple of witch hunters in the area but they weren’t looking her way. She decided to go over and read the notices, see if something look profitable.

There was something about bricklaying, another one called for a smith to shoe horses. A ship was leaving Novigrad soon and looking for female entertainment. ‘I’m not that ****’ Triss thought. Then her eyes passed over another notice. ‘Drowners in the sewers. Clear those buggers out - 100 crowns. See Captain Vance for your reward.’ The notice is a little faded, it’s been up for a while so there mustn’t be any Witcher’s in Novigrad at the moment.

‘Clear out a few drowners for 100 crowns, I could do that, couldn’t I?’ Triss thought.
