Drive back to the road and try to outrace them.

You can't imagine yourself walking alone through the forest. At least you can't fathom how this should be a smart idea in your current situation. Surely they would send out helicopters and search parties and you'd be miserably outmanoevered. So you decide to turn the car around and hit the highway once more.

Carefully you drive back to the main road. Nothing. The siren has faded. You decide to turn into the opposite direction the police car took.

First, everything goes well. After a mile or two, at the top of a small hill, you suddenly see them: Three police cars, blocking the whole length of the road. And you are driving right into their arms.

There's nothing you can do now in this moment. You could stop and turn around, but they have, of course, seen you already, and would give chase as soon as you can count to three. So what else is there to do? Stop and run into the woods after all? Too late for that now. You slow down, your mind racing, but you can't come up with any other solution than driving towards them and trying to bluff your way through. Maybe they are not looking for you anyway?
