You hold the small, elliptical vial in your hand for a moment before popping the cork and drinking the liquid. Pain immediately wracks your body, and you writhe on the ground for nearly fifteen seconds, trying not to scream before the fire burning beneath your skin subsides. You lever yourself up, dazed, but feeling just a little bit more pure.
