To the dressing room or to the checkout?
Dressing room
Lauren took the costumes with her into the dressing room to try them on before making any purchase. She entered the room and locked the door behind her, trying to decide with costume she should try first.
Looking at both outfits, she decided to try the Djinn costume first. Lauren wanted to make an impression, she really wanted for once to stand out, and the Djinn costume would be the perfect suit.
As she stripped down to her black, lacy underwear she took the costume in her hand and looked at it as excitement glittered in her eyes. The dress looked magnificent, something ripped from a Bedouin fairy tale, or perhaps the dress of a very beautiful and young Arabian princess. Even though she was mesmerized by the outfit, she was concerned that, given how intricate and elegant it appeared to be, it might as well be way out of her price range.
"Oh well, even if I can't afford it, I might as well give it a try. Maybe I'll come back for it one day." she thought to herself as she began turning the dress on all sides, trying to figure out how to slip it on. Lauren quickly realized that the dress could no be worn with a bra, not even an invisible one, since the straps would most surely ruin the whole effect of the outfit. She quickly discarded her bra, standing there only in her underwear.
After a few minutes of trials and rearrangements, she managed to slip on the dress. Curiously, the dress did not have any zippers or buttons, and the moment she put it on it adjusted itself to perfection, amplifying her generous traits and while shrouding herself in a mysterious allure. Lauren's excitement could only grow by the second while she looked at herself in the mirror. The dress looked beautiful on her that made every little gesture she made seem alluring and mysterious. Overtaken by excitement, she quickly put on the silken top which complemented her look to perfection. Finally, she wrapped the scarf around her head as best as she could, loosely covering her hair and her mouth. Looking in the mirror, her eyes had became so seductive that it was impossible for her to look away. She was as beautiful as she always imagined herself to be, yet never believed it to be true.
Looking at herself while whirling around at a slow pace, her conviction strengthened: she would buy this outfit, even if she had to spend all her available money on it. Looking at her discarded boots, she noticed the painting set and the instructions for the tattoo. Although she always appreciated and collected art, she was never any good at it. She always seemed to fail miserably at drawing or painting. And yet, her excitement got the best of her and she decided she would try to craft the tattoo, as even a sloppy success would add considerably to her character.
She slipped off the dress, the top and the scarf, carefully placing them on a chair, while she stood topless in front of the mirror. Taking another look at the highly intricate design of the tattoo, she was in a serious dilemma.
"Should I try to do it myself, or should I ask for help?"
Should Lauren attempt the tattoo herself?
