Down the rabbit hole you go

You tear your attention away from the paper after making sure to read it all thoroughly, there was a lot to take in but you're still unsure what to make of the evolution business, as a kid you had been taught that evolution was a lie meant to discredit god and that the heathens who spouted such teachings should be shunned out of polite society, but here the game guide definitely refereed to evolution taking place once a benchmark was met. You're supposed you'd been in this cave long enough, eyeing the entrance the slime had bounced in from and also seemingly the only exit out of here you decided to set off into the unknown.

You begin walking through the comparatively large cavern tunnel, as you walked you pondered back to the salmon he had slain earlier, using its size as a frame of reference from your old world you estimated that your height must be somewhere between 3 and 3ft 2 in size, a far cry from your human forms 6ft 3 size that you were used to before. Your new body was a homunculus, so the proportions were all as they should be, just smaller, whatever you are now, you certainly aren't your own skeleton resurrected, it was someone or something elses, like you'd been spirited away into another beings body with all your memories still intact.

You were lost in your own train of thought again (you really needed to stop doing that) as a sticky substance covers your body out of no where, before you're able to react you're set upon by what you could tell is a sticky web that covers your entire body. Without the need for awaited anticipation, the creature the web belonged to struck, a large spider about the same size as yourself leaped forward, jutting its abdominal stinger into your body, the piercing stinger scraped against your ribcage but in the end only manages to pass through to the other side.

Only 1? Thinking back you remember your Hard Body passive, that must be why it did so little to you. Reacting quickly you activate 'Observe' to see your opponents stats.

Poison Stab lvl 1 - Does 4 base damage, using agility and speed as a multiplier. Also inflicts the target with a poisoned damage over time debuff that does a total of 10 base damage over a 5 second duration.
<u>Abilities:</u>
Web Spit lvl 1 - Applies the entangled debuff on targets for 10 seconds, slowing them by 30% of their base speed stat.

Before the creature can thrust its poison tipped stinger into your flesh again, you pull your right arm back and jolt it forward as fast as your currently slowed form could manage, connecting with the spiders abdomen just as the creature was in mid strike. Being pierced the spider jumped back gaining some distance from you as it writhed from the pain of your stab.

Normal attacks do 7, and critical strikes do 12 you conclude, gauging that the spider must have 23 HP left to go, only doing 1 damage in return with her own attacks meant that you definitely had this fight in the bag. The spider came at you once more, as she prepared to strike you, you take the initiative and stab her first, sending it backwards in a panicked fashion. The spider squealed in agony as she started to bleed.

The text read, the spider was bleeding now so it'd take 1 damage every second for 3 seconds. After it's done bleeding the spider should have 13 HP left, you never were too good with mathematics at school as a kid. '2 more hits' you think to yourself, you expected the spider to charge at you the same way again but this time the spider tried out a different tactic. The spider used its legs to crawl up the side of the cavern walls, now above you it pounced, extending its abdomen downwards and jousting you with its poisoned stinger. Both yours and the spiders attacks landed.

The spiders poison leaked out of its stinger that was currently lodged inside your chest cavity and dripped to the floor.

The spider screamed again, skewering itself on your left hand, you seized the opportunity and swung with your right hand and stabbed it through the head causing the monster to disappear in your sharp arms. You hear a little jingle in your head, different from the ding's you usually got from leveling up observe.
