Down at the farm.

Eva and Ming Yue stepped off the elevator to the thirteenth floor and they could hear and smell the difference.

"Have you ever worked on a farm before?" Eva asked her colleague as they walked into the section where the chickens and crickets were penned.. "Good afternoon, girls!"

"No, I've only visited them as a kid," Ming Yue responded "What about you?"

"During my undergrad I worked on a small farm in Kahuku," Eva answered.

"Where's that?"

"The northern tip of O'ahu," Eva replied while they walked over to check on the crickets. "Have you eaten crickets before?"

"I wouldn't be a biologist if I haven't!"

"I love them in stir fry!" Eva chirped.

"You should cook your dish for all of us one day!" Ming Yue smiled while they moved on to the hydroponic section. They were already growing an assortment of vegetables — beans, bell peppers, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, eggplants, kale, lettuce, onions, peas, spinach, and tomatoes.

"I hate celery," Ming Yue noted.

"Why?"

"There's something about its stringy texture and weird, watery consistency."

"But it's a great snack food that burns calories!"

"You can have my portion," Ming Yue said, sticky her tongue out in disgust.

"Any other foods you hate that I should know of?"

"Cilantro," Ming Yue replied. "It tastes like soap."

"Okay, that I can agree with!" Eva giggled. "Everything looks good on the farm. Let's go downstairs and check on our poop!"

"The things we do in the name of science," Ming Yue laughed as they headed towards the elevator.
