Dorothea Chooses Love

EPISODE 13: Dorothea visits Rosamond to clear the air and redeliver the cheque. She tells Mrs Lydgate that she has formed an alliance of her friends which will ensure Lydgate becomes trusted again. Once more Rosamond is overcome and tells Dorothea that she need have no further concerns about her and Will, because he loves somebody else.

Farebrother’s sister goes to Dorothea to speak on Will’s behalf paving a way for them to have a big talk. Convinced that the Rosamond issue is settled, Dorothea asks for the full truth about Bullstrode, which Will gives. They kiss and holding each other’s body tight confessed they love for each other. They remove their outer clothes in front of a roaring log fire and Will starts to drop, but the young widow stops him and says “Me first, this time”.

She sucks his cock telling him she lacks experience but is willing to learn. “Take your time, angel”. After a while he puts his hands on her shoulders, kneels down and they roll over on a rug. Side by side they pleasure each other’s sex with their tongues. He asks if she wants to go further as he is always prepared. She tells him that she wants to feel him inside her and does not care about the risk. From his vast repertoire he picks a face to face position with his legs behind him for her to rock on. Sir James is furious about what he sees as yet another bad choice for Dorothea, but is mostly annoyed because his new baby son may not now inherit the Brooke’s estate. Celia suggests a double wedding with Fred Vincy, now set to manage Uncle Peter’s estate, and Mary Garth.

At the wedding Lydgate and Dorothea, and Will and Rosamond meet for the last time perhaps wondering if they had chosen the right partners.

We alternate between the 2 married couples wedding nights, as well as Rosamond finally getting her way as she and Lydgate leave Middlemarch to start life anew.

COMMENT: I suppose this was the scene the romantics were waiting for so Jacqui directed it. Anne and James were far more comfortable than the first time they had fucked. I really wish that we could have had a foursome between the 2 main couples mirroring the one, Jacqui, Jane, Tom and I had. After all they had all fucked each other anyway (OK one combination was in a dream), but the Dorothea character would never have gone that far. For the record, of course they chose the wrong partners, that is what Middlemarch is about.
