Does Ember want a diaper before continuing?

Ember looked between them curiously, sensing they had something planned now that the three of them stood in the nursery.

"You know," Daniel began, trying not to look too excited, "The rest of the tour could be enjoyed better with more youthful eyes? Of course, you just got here, but you will have to wear diapers eventually anyway."

"I'd love to get to show our baby Ember around, if she's ready to come out and play," Kailani beamed at the now blushing Ember. What Ember had been waiting for is finally coming to fruition after all, so it's no wonder her heart rate picked up. She turned gaze off to the side, not bothering to express herself more tactfully.

Bashfully, Ember answered, "Yeah, we can... I can do that."

Her new "parents" beamed, seeming to be familiar with this sort of newbie.

"Amazing, Ember," Kailani praised, "You're being so brave, you know that?"

Daniel nodded. "And we'll never take that for granted, okay?"

Ember smiled sheepishly, before Kailani went and helped Ember onto the changing table. Daniel then tapped his finger on Ember's waistband gently. "We need to get these big girl pants off, okay?"

"Mm-hmm," Ember nodded, cheeks flushing in embarrassment. She turned her head to the side, her hands partly covering her face. "Oh darling," Kailani cooed, setting a hand over Ember's, "We're here to take care of you, okay? No need to be embarrassed."

Knowing it meant getting diapers sooner, and that it had to happen eventually, Ember was encouraged to go forward, and she nodded again. "Such a good baby, isn't she?" Kailani beamed at Daniel. "Yes, she's doing so good," was his reply as he pulled down Ember's pants.

Ember kept holding Kailani's hand as Daniel pulled Ember's pants all the way off and picked a diaper from the drawer. Ember's eyes locked with the diaper, a pink one with stars, and the Allen's chuckled. "There," Kailani murmured, softly rubbing her thumb over Ember's hand, "You're right where you belong, now. In the care of parents who want nothing more than to provide."

Daniel lifted Ember's hips by picking up her legs, earning a squeak out of her, while Kailani kept whispering soothing words. Ember's eyes were trained on the process of covering her bare bottom in baby powder and smoothing the front of the crinkly padding over her front and fastening the tapes.

"All done," Daniel chimed, "Good job holding still for me, Ember." Kailani clapped softly.

The diaper was comfortable, soft, and its extra bulk and crinkling served as a constant reminder of its presence, and Ember's face flushed profusely. The "adults" in the room smiled, seeing Ember's reddened face.

"Let's get something to put on over that diaper, Ember," Daniel suggested before digging in the closet.
