You decide that this isn’t the time to test technology you have no idea how it works but the ray gun is a rather convenient shape to make it look like you’re armed

You take advantage of the time Chad is lost in his monologue of all the debauched and depraved things he is going to do to your loved ones to subtly slip the ray gun deep into your jacket pocket wrapping your hand around the grip to create a convincing bulge

Eventually you feel a hand grab your shoulder “Hey dickhead are you even listening to me you worthless piece of shit!” Chad exclaims angrily. you feel his grip tighten around your shoulder making you to turn to face him “Pussies like you should listen when real men are speaking, anyway time for you to say your last words before you go to the ICU”

It’s now or never, despite Chad being your tormentor you know you have to commit to it your hand sweats as you squeeze the handle of the ray gun “Fuck you chad!” you mutter not quite sure of yourself yet

“What the fuck did you just say?” Chad hisses slightly taken aback by your defiance

“I said fuck you chad” You respond with more confidence thrusting forward the ray gun hidden in your pocket, it makes a semi convincing firearm

Chad notices but still condescending “Aww bitch boy needs a gun to feel strong and powerful, you think you scare me with that, You don’t even have the balls to use it. It’s such a pussy move to use a gun because you know you can’t take me in a fight”

Despite his bravado Chad still seems to visibly back up a little, unsure if you are serious or not

“Yeah back off Chad” you taunt finally feeling the odds balancing for the first time, you know it’s all a ruse but Chad doesn’t and it gives him space

Time seems to stand still as you just glare determinedly into his eyes, you can’t let the facade slip even for a second you just need to hold out until he gives up.

your heart is hammering louder and faster than you have ever felt before as the tense standoff continues.

“This isn’t over John” Chad finally concedes backing off and slinking away until he eventually disappears from sight

Even though he is gone you remain frozen for what seems like forever as you sigh with relief

“Oh my god that was close” you exclaim to the empty car park as you withdraw your hand and ray gun from your pocket, “I can’t believe that worked” you chuckle as you make your way out of the gates
