Dizzy

The voice is Dizzy and she sounds worried, "Sheriff its Dizzy we may have a problem at the FOB at Hilltop Fields, I cant see anybody moving around and nobody answers me when I call out. I am going to move closer but I thought I had better call it in first over ". What the hell, Jenny grabs her radio, "Dizzy do not go in alone wait for back up over", after a short while of reply the Jenny starts to get worried "Dizzy come in over, Dizzy please answer me", Jenny is starting to panic a bit now. " Ava you up over", "yep I am heading towards the FOB now but I am on the other side of town I am at least 40 minutes further away then you are Sheriff and I know your going to flip but take Timothy with you he can shoot or least keep the engine warm".

Jenny looks at you then sighs "ok Ava but hurry, come on you heard your aunt we better move", leaving the medical centre you get in the sheriffs cruiser and just stare out the window as you hurtle along towards the edge of town and past it to a area that used to be a sports centre that all the towns had put money towards. "Sheriff what do you think has happened", not responding for a while she eventually gives an answer, " we have caught or killed large a number of the infected males who have the alpha virus and this is the drop of point, I fear the live ones have got out again and as it is day time they are holed up inside and have more then likely killed the men and women working there".

Crap this is bad, " Sheriff am I going to need a gun or should I just keep the cruiser ready to go". Jenny thinks on this for a while before giving you an answer," when we pull up I am going to get somethings out the trunk you keep watch ok and yes you are getting a gun I saw you shot, now this is going to sound bad but no warring shots you see an infected male shot to kill but watch you fire we may still find friendly people inside and Dizzy is somewhere around ok". Nodding you answer yes Sheriff and she gives you a look before nodding to herself as it is clear you are treating this as work so have changed up how you call her.

Nodding you wait as you approach the sport centre, the sheriff pulls over before a much bigger and newer gate then you last remember, getting out the sheriff opens the trunk and pulls out a shotgun checks it and passes it to you along with another .45 police issue pistol, checking the safety is on for both weapons you slowly enter the parking lot of the centre and see the other cruiser parked up. "Their should be somebody on the door dam it what has happened, Dizzy you up girl, come back over". Waiting for a reply that does not come the sheriff aims her shotgun at the door and moves forward, following behind you get a bad feeling as this is like some super scary horror movie. Advancing down the corridor nothing looks amiss but you have a prickly feeling going up the back of your neck, arriving at what was a large open area now it looks like something out of a zombie movie, the place is trashed and blood is on the floor and you see one dead body of a guy with a rifle next to him bent out of shape.

"Well this has gone to shit, Ava I have dead military personnel and no bodies of infected over". Your aunt replies with a cures or three and tells you to be careful she is still twenty minutes away, moving through the building you still find no sign of anyone else. Maybe they got them all contained again and they are trying to keep them locked up you are about to say when you see movement at the end of a corridor and its not anyone in uniform, "sheriff company on are left", turning that way you aim at the lone infected whilst the sheriff still covers the front corridor, it looks at you with something like curiosity before dashing out of sight. "Right back to the entrance we are waiting for your aunt and some bigger guns before doing this shit, I am not trained for this horror movie crap". Both of you slowly move back towards the main area when they start pilling out the corridors behind you just like a zombie movie. Both of you fire a few rounds into them hitting the front runners and in turn tripping some of the ones behind, "move faster Tim", the sheriff shouts as both of you run for the entrance, just as you are about to make the entrance both of you run out of rounds in your shotguns and one very large infected runs at you, not having time to pull the pistol you smash the butt of the shotgun into his head and the infected goes hurtling across the room back into the charging infected taking them down allowing both of you to get outside.

The sheriff empties her pistole into the infected and you join in when she has to reload, still backing away the infected that try to come out the door quickly return inside. Both of you slump down next to the cruiser, "I think I shit myself sheriff you say trying to relieve some of the tension in the air. "You think, I know I did holy fuck that was something out of my nightmares, every god dam freak we have brought in must be lose in that bloody place, how we are going to search it is beyond me".

Looking around you have to agree this needs a swat team or soldiers at least you think and if that infected had not shown himself you would have walked past the junction that all the infected came from no way would you have got out of that. "Sheriff was it just me or did they try and ambush us just now".

"Saw that did you, yep when they hit a large number the infected seem to start using pack hunting tactics like flanking and surrounding pray that wolves and big cats do nice isn't it" .

Great so they are pack hunters now, the sheriff keeps trying to contact Dizzy, wondering what the hell you can do to help you check the trunk but find nothing to really help and head over to a shack set up at the gate, its just a prefab hut with a desk some chairs and not much else, but a phone is on the desk along with a laptop that is still on, not expecting much you pick up the phone and find it is not a normal phone as the only buttons on it are pre loaded numbers which must link to a phones in the centre. Pushing them you do not expect anything till you hit security and someone picks up on the third ring.
