What happens next?

Divine intervention

"Hela?" asked Jean Grey. "You mean to say that you're actually the same Hela who rules over the Norse underworld? The one that the Mighty Thor fights all the time?"

"Well, I don't know about all the time," said Hela. "That said..."

Hela casually picked up a hammer that looked like something Thor would carry. Then she threw it across the room at Jean. When the hammer hit Jean, it struck her so hard that Jean found herself being flung backwards across the room.

"Okay," said Hela. "That's it. Come along, girl. The fight is over."

"No, it isn't," said another voice.

Hela turned and there was Liz Sherman, now fully dressed and carrying a load of clothes in her arms. Liz immediately dropped the clothes and started summoning flames to the palms of her hands.

"Whatever, Lady Firestarter," said Hela.

Hela snapped her fingers and then suddenly the club's automatic sprinkler system kicked in, pouring down water upon the whole crowd.

"Now try burning something," Hela said with a sneer.

Then Hela turned toward a still naked Niki.

"I won't come with you," said Niki.

Hela just yawned and asked, "Mystique? If you please?"

Mystique started toward Niki but before she could say or do anything, a voice from out of the crowd exclaimed, "Jeez, all me and Benjy wanted was one quiet night at a Vegas strip club! But then you folks showed up and now we can't even have that!"

A red-headed woman in a very, very red dress stalked angrily out of the crowd and pointed to Hela.

"Just who did you think you are, crashing in on us like this?" asked the redhead. "Why can't you find your own club to disrupt and rain out?"

"Well, actually I'm a god," said Hela. "Who the hell are you?"

The redhead smiled. "Well, actually I go by many names, but most people on this world know me as Glorificus -- or if you prefer, Glory. And the fact that you don't recognize me or show no signs of fearing me... Well, I guess it really is true what they say about you. You really aren't the brightest god in the heavens..."
