Dive Behind the Counter

Thinking quickly, Texas started to lower her gun, subtly shifting into a runner’s start position, before leaping into a sprint. Before the bandits could react to the sudden turn of events, the weasel had dived over the bank counter, taking cover behind it as bullets flew overhead. She was safe back here, but only until the bandits had sense to reposition themselves.

There were only two options: stay and fight, or make for the back door. Now that she knew these weren’t hostages, Texas could afford to retreat and devise a new plan to deal with the group, hopefully finding some way to divide and conquer the outlaws. Leaving did however give Jesse and Jane a chance to escape that they would not get if Texas stuck around. There was no question that Texas was a skilled fighter and gunslinger, but the numbers here weighed the odds against even her, and that was before she took into account the dangers Jesse and Jane presented by themselves.
