Dissuade the king instead

Liandra knew Kendra had a strong will and would not be persuaded easily. Oh, how could she prevent her friend from meeting such an awful fate.
She held her hands together to give a small prayer. That was when she noticed she still had the magical ring on her fingers.
“That’s right.” Liandra realized. “This ring makes the wearer interested in people of the same gender. If she could manage to put this ring on her father he would have greater preference for men, instead of a woman like Kendra.
She only to trick him into wearing it somehow.

“If you don’t mind, Kendra. I shall take my leave now. I presume you would like to freshen up before you meet my father in his private study.”
Kendra brightened up.
“Thank you, Liandra. It would be very helpful for me Thank you again for all your help.”

Liandra quickly left Kendra and went on her way. She just had one great question. How was she going to trick her father into wearing this cursed ring?
