Discussing the next stop

“Okay, now that that side quest is handled,” you say now that everyone was back in their maid uniforms. The skimpy armors had been neatly packed into individual cases and been sent off with Erza and Marinette (who also needed to drop off her fabric supplies) to the car. “We need to pick up some things for Aelita and…” you had to check the list you got, “Ranko, some stuff from the CyberWarrior store.”

“CyberWarrior?” Clover asked, looking away from a display fully of miniskirts and cute crop tops. “Isn’t that like a computer place? Didn’t Mac from HR get arrested for fighting a guy over an Android phone?”

“I heard it was the last phone available with a Cortana installed,” you replied back, thinking of the Cortana from the Halo series. “But yeah, it's a computer and electronics store.”

“I get why Aelita would want that kind of stuff but isn’t Ranko a bit of a Martial Arts nut?” Alex asked, tapping a finger against her chin. “She’s always in the gym practicing her moves or sparring with like Ahsoka or someone else.”

“Shampoo convinced Ranko to join her and Gaige in streaming at least part time,” you informed the group. “Something about two catgirls being better than one which I totally agree with though in a different context.”

“Isn’t Ranko scared of cats?” Diana sounded a bit concerned but you weren’t for several reasons. For one thing, while Ranko was terrified of actual cats she has only reacted with some trepidation with catgirls. Though you wonder how Shampoo was gonna convince her to wear a cat ear headband. And another thing, Pixel or Jean Grey would probably be enough to handle Ranko if she ever enters her Cat Fist berserker state. You explain as such to the group.

“If you’re sure?” Diana frowned a little.

“Aelita and I think it will help balance the books, lots of expenses this year,” you comment, looking over several of your ‘expenses’ who didn’t take too kindly to being referred to as such.

Ever loyal, Gogo asked, “Anything we can do to maybe help with that?”

“I could see about hiring you out to one of the bike messenger or delivery services, one of the less sleazy ones,” you offer, already thinking of the ones that rarely need to call ReinCorp to replace their in house Characters nor had the owners of the Characters need to call either.

“Anything a bit more…exciting and more my speed?”

“There are also the various street race circuits if you’re interested, though the initial buy-in would be another expense, not a small one either since you might need a vehicle too. We’ll need to talk to Aelita when we get home.” You say, thinking of a conversation you had with Aelita on the way back from the Star Trek world you owned. “I think she was going to talk with everyone about what they can do to pitch in today if the house setup wrapped up quickly enough.”
