Discoveries are made

You are awoken by the buzzing of your phone just after 7:30. Annoyed but very much awake, you reach out and tap the screen.

Kat: Sry for ditching you!!! You k???

You were going to **** that ditz. "Deep breaths Lara, deep breaths..." It didn't matter that Kat ditched you after you'd gotten drunk, it wasn't the most pressing issue right now. You had some serious research to do. But first...

You hop out of bed, muscles sluggish but slightly more responsive than last night. You still didn't hurt though. At all. You weren't sore or even tired. Which made no sense considering you'd only gotten home about three hours ago. This might be a problem ... but one you could resolve after you checked on your guest-You freeze as you turn back to your bed. A small but dark red stain is spread across the sheets.

Rushing to the mirror, you turn slowly. There. On your arm, just above the elbow, is a cut. Almost a gauge. Like you hadn't quite managed to dodge a bullet ... you poke it cautiously. Blood oozes slowly down your arm but otherwise nothing happens. No pain. You felt your finger touch your skin but you didn't feel any pain. You gulp as the unreasoning calm you'd felt since pricking yourself on the syringe fades slightly. This was bad. You give yourself a close examination: just a few scrapes and bruises, no serious injuries except your arm.

After carefully tending to the bullet wound, treating and wrapping it as best you could, you start pouring through the notebooks. Mostly raw data you couldn't interpret, nothing that would help you find out what P-32 was. Feeling a dim sense of worry that grossly misrepresented the situation, you boot up your computer to open the flash-drive...

Hm ... this looks promising....
