Discover the world of Jujutsu Kaisen

I make up my mind. My questions are too many to simply just forget about. I have to understand what happened today. What was the creature? How could I suddenly see it now? What was awakened within me? And what was the blue energy that allowed me to control the creature?

I look at Megumi's card he gave me for someplace called Jujutsu High. The address isn't too far from here, a few train stops away. After being in Tokyo for a while, I've got the hang of where to go. I exit my university, taking one last look at the building.

Something tells me I won't be back here for a long time.

I look up at the address the card has taken me too. When it said Jujutsu High, I expected another campus, maybe smaller tucked away somewhere hidden in Tokyo. But this was NOT hidden. But stood before me was a large Japanese land, with temples, houses, shrines and mountains stretching as far as I could see. It seemed Jujutsu High was it's own mini town, with so much space, land and buildings I'm amazed I've never seen or heard of this before, even as someone new in Tokyo. I walk through the many red tori gates at the entry, leading me up a hill. As I step through each gate, it feels as if I'm passing through a barrier of some kind.

Finally, I reach the last gate, which finishes as a sprawling courtyard. Here, I can see several people out on the courtyard. Some fight in pairs, other are running laps while some chill and snack on some sweets. I walk to the group, seeing amongst them Yuji, Megumi and Nobara. Yuji is the first to see me and comes running up, grinning with joy.

"Dude, you actually came! Megumi told us all about you!" Yuji says.

Nobara walks up next, looking me up and down. I didn't notice before, but she has a nice body. Her figure is fit but with enough curve to show she works out. She has light makeup on and sparkly pink lip gloss on her full lips. Her boobs are massive, threatening to spill out of her uniform. I try not to look at them and focus her face. "Nice to meet you, John. Always good to have some more people join our side."

Megumi is the last to join, giving a rare smile. "Glad you could make it, John."

"Thanks guys! This place is beautiful but I won't lie, I came to find answers about earlier today. Can you tell me what happened?" I ask the trio.

"That would be my job" A voice shouts.

I look around, trying to find the voice. Finally, my gaze travels upwards and I see him. A tall man with white hair and a bandana covering his eyes. He spins in the air, floating! My jaw drops as he descends from the air, landing on two feet with perfect balance. Despite his calm and innocent looks, the hairs on my arms stand up. The aura around this man is electric, brimming with incredible power.

"Gojo Satoru, pleasure to meet you. I'm a teacher here at Jujutsu High. Welcome, John."

The man extends his hand and I shake it. "You were...flying?!"

He chuckles. "Eh, just a neat little trick I can do. Isn't as hard as it seems...well, for me."

The other three groan as if used to Gojo's self love a little too much.

"Anyway, this is who I was talking about Gojo sensei. His name is John, and I believe he's awakened his cursed technique. Although pretty late, it seemed powerful when we got there." Megumi says.

Gojo nods enthusiastically at every of Megumi's word. "Right! John, come with me. It's time to answer those burning questions I'm sure you got."

I nod and say goodbye to Yuji, Megumi and Nobara. Yuji and Nobara return to training, squaring off in a fight as Megumi refs the match. My eyes linger on Nobara's ass a little too long as Gojo leads me to one of the buildings, an old style Japanese house that despite its age seems very secure and well preserved. We climb several staircases and reach a classroom. Gojo invites me to sit at a desk, while he perches against the teacher's desk.

"So John, tell me everything you saw, felt and heard today. Don't leave anything out. It'll help me to answer all your burning questions the best I can." Gojo tells me, giving a thumbs up.

And so, I recount the story of today. I explain how I could suddenly see the creature and how others couldn't. I include how I felt something awaken in me and I knew I could control the creature. Then the blue energy appeared, allowing me to use that energy to somehow successfully control it. I also mentioned that I could see everything the other three did too.

"So that's the story..." I finish.

I look up to Gojo and see a very serious expression on his face. He begin to speak, now very measured and precise. "What you encountered today, John was something called a Cursed Spirit. This curses are fuelled by human emotions, concepts or feelings and pose a threat to humanity. I'm sure you noticed today that your teacher was acting strange, right? It was because that Cursed Spirit was influencing him. We've identified that was the Stare Cursed Spirit, nasty little creature that seems to feed on the paranoia and frustration of teachers. Typically why you hear the phrase, "I've got eyes in the back of my head" from people."

I nod as Mr Kito's mood change now makes sense.

Gojo continues. "That's where we can come in. We are Jujutsu Sorcerers, tasked with finding these Cursed Spirits and exorcising them. Only Jujutsu Sorcerers can see these Cursed Spirits, and to combat them, a Cursed Technique developed by the Jujutsu Sorcerer through birth or passed down through family is used. That's what you saw today, each of my students using their Cursed Techniques to fight the Stare Cursed Spirit."

"But John, if I'm to believe what you're telling me is true...I'm glad we found you. Your Cursed Technique is something we haven't seen since before the Heian period."

I stare at Gojo, confused. "Wait, what I have inside me, what awoke today is some kind of ancient power?"

"Yes, I believe so. Before the Heian period, an unknown sorcerer was known for his iron tight grip on Japan. He ruled throughout the lands with his Cursed Technique - Total Mind Control. However, no matter how powerful the technique is, he is still mortal. Eventually the unknown sorcerer died and left behind a power vacuum. This gave way for the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna to take over and become the strongest sorcerer." Gojo tells me.

"While Ryomen Sukuna is the strongest sorcerer in recorded history, little is known about the user of the Total Mind Control technique who came before. And somehow John, YOU have inherited the technique. I'm glad you came here. We know so little of the technique and I fear if someone else discovered you first, we'd have lost you to...darker forces." He says, giving me a grim expression.

Suddenly, the weight of my power is clear. Gojo senses the **** information overload and encourages me to get some rest.

"Tomorrow, I'll begin to teach you about your technique. How to control it, the limits and benefits and so forth. But for now, rest. Let's keep this a secret between us before we can explore the extent of your technique. Come, I'll show you to where you can stay for the night."

Gojo leads me out the classroom and to another building. This one houses several rooms and is clearly a dorm building. He leads me to one that's empty, with just a simple tatami mattress, desk and cupboard. Gojo bids me farewell, shutting the sliding door.

I lay on the bed, trying to grapple what I've stumbled into. The world of Jujutsu Kaisen is one of incredible power, but there seems to be a layer darkness hiding underneath. I try to brush it off, just thankful I can understand what's happening to me and that I'm surrounded by good, trusting people.

As I drift off to sleep, little did I know, a visitor will come to me...
