Dirk is in danger

Eilwy's eyes narrowed as she scanned her surroundings, remembering someone else was nearby. Someone had distracted the troll, but that someone had also seen everything that had occurred and could not be allowed to live to tell the tale. She was grateful for her savoir, and it was unfortunate she would have to kill him before thanking him, but that was a sacrifice she was willing to make. Her reputation was at stake.

"I know you're out here. Show yourself and I'll be sure to make your **** a quick one." Eilwy's voice was cold and sent a shiver of fear through Dirk's body. He barely managed to duck back behind the troll just in time to avoid Eilwy's detection. Dirk's heart was pounding so loudly in his chest, he was surprised it didn't immediately give him away. He realized he could never run fast enough to escape her magic and reach safety, and his heart sank knowing he probably only had moments to live. Or perhaps longer if the Black Reaver decided to **** him, but of course that thought brought little comfort.

"Well, I'll take care of this other little problem first," the witch stated. "Then I will find you and make you scream. This has been a horrible day so far; I need some amusement to make up for it." Dirk heard the Black Reaver step closer, chanting softly. Suddenly the troll glowed softly as he quickly began to shrink.

"Oh crap, oh crap," Dirk muttered. Soon the troll was too small to hide behind, even crouching down. Dirk peered over the troll's head to see the witch only a few feet away, still walking slowly towards them, sifting through her pouch in search or something.

Dirk's time has run out. He had to act now!
