Chapter 5 by HexadecimalPlaceholder HexadecimalPlaceholder

What is their date going to be?

Dinner and a movie- at his place!

"Dinner and a movie, at my place! I already have all the ingredients. I think it would be soooo romantic for us to cook our first meal together-"

Izzy was shocked, dumbfounded, by how quickly he was moving. True, they had gotten along well, and Izzy got the most delicious orgasmic butterflies when she thought about him for long, but... well, he certainly got to the point, didn't he?

"-and then after the meal, I have a huge collection of movies. You can pick! My car's right over there. Are you ready to just... go?"

"Yeah. Yes, I have all my things now."

Joy, living up to his name, hopped up and down, clapping and making "Whee! Yhee!" Noises, before skipping off to the car and beckoning her to follow. She closed and locked the door behind her, moving so swiftly that she almost dropped her keys.

His car was a Saturn in absurdly good condition. She ran a hand along its smooth, maroon body, its utilitarian curves industrial and solid. He noticed her raised eyebrows as she slid into the passenger side and noticed the manual transmission.

"I learned to drive in this thing," he said, pulling out and shifting into first gear. "My dad wasn't in the picture much, so I was raised by my mom and her brothers. A femboy raised by femboys. My elder uncle bought this when I was like three."

He shifted to second gear, and then third as they pulled into main street. To Izzy, who had only ever driven an automatic, it seemed like a kind of magic the way his hands and legs moved, finessing the softly humming engine. "Must have been a lot of work to keep this thing up and running", she said hesitantly. She reached out to turn the AC on, only for him to giggle.

"The AC broke years ago. I've taken meticulous care of every inch of this thing, same as Uncle Raven did. Everything except for that. The machine uses some weird coolant formula that hasn't been manufactured in decades. No-one even knows the recipe anymore, since the company folded." There was a soft whirr from all directions as the windows slid down. "I'm gonna pull onto the freeway for a couple of miles. Things are going to get loud."

The sunset over the river, viewed from atop a bridge-freeway, was an eye-watering beauty.

Do they arrive as planned?
