Chapter 43 by Tilfe
What's next?
Dinner, Homework and...
Vivi was waiting by her car after school. It was a chilly Wednesday afternoon and cheer practice had finished a while ago. Where’s Alyssa? the redhead thought after checking the time for the fifth time already.
At that moment, Alyssa came out of the school while casually talking to Blake. Even from afar, Vivi could see that the blonde was very clearly flirting with him, twirling her hair and looking at him with a sultry gaze. At the school entrance, or in this case, exit, they parted ways, but not before Blake lightly swatted Alyssa’s derrière, making the blonde bombshell yelp. Alyssa walked over to Vivi, while clearly swaying her hips more than needed.
“Did I really have to wait for you, because you were fucking him?” Vivi asked, astonished.
“Of course not, who do you take me for? A slut?” Alyssa asked her best friend feigning being aghast. “I wouldn’t have sex at school, although it’s tempting. We just talked normally” she added.
“You didn’t just talk” Vivi said, “you were practically telling him to fuck you out in the parking lot” she pointed out.
“Ok, we flirted a bit which may have led to us making out.” Alyssa admitted coyly.
“And you had me waiting here, seriously?” Vivi responded annoyed at her best friend’s antics while opening the driver side door and getting in the car.
When Alyssa sat down in the passenger seat, Vivi put her car in gear and headed to Cielo Rojo, the local mexican restaurant.
After a short drive, they reached the taqueria where, after parking, they entered and sat at the booth. Cielo Rojo had bright turquoise walls with Mexican decorations on them and a black and white checkered floor. Booths lined the walls of the dining room, with tables scattered through the center. Making their way to the farthest booth from the entrance, the girls sat down with Alyssa facing the entrance and Vivi in the seat in front of her.
“So, Amelia’s coming today?” Alyssa asked as she sat down.
“Yes, she’ll come here later in the evening.” Vivi replied. “Her plane just touched down at New Aurelien Airport”
“She’ll probably be tired,” Alyssa remarked.
“Yeah, she still has the drive all the way over here, can’t say I envy her” Vivi said.
At that moment, the waiter, a slim latina girl with brown hair in the taqueria’s uniform appeared.
“Hey girls, how are we doing today?” she asked. “Are you ready to order?”
“Yes, I’ll have some birria tacos,” Vivi said.
“And I want an enchilada,” Alyssa added.
“Anything to drink?” the waiter added.
“Just water,” the redhead responded.
The waiter repeated their order back to the girls and then left. At that moment the door to the taqueria opened and Alyssa, who sat facing the door, burst out laughing.
“You won’t believe who just entered,” she said in between laughs.
Vivi turned to see Blake, Ethan and Nick sitting down in a booth. Luckily for her, the girl’s booth was tucked away in a corner and not very visible and the boys sat far away from them.
“Fuck me” she muttered.
“Are you offering?” Alyssa teased “Or are you saying it to Blake?”
“Fuck you!” Vivi responded.
“I hope Blake does, he did it so well last weekend” Alyssa winked at her best friend.
“Ughhh” Vivi groaned, annoyed before Alyssa started laughing.
At that moment, the waiter brought the food and the girls dove in, talking about school, cheer and other things.
Blake said goodbye to his friends as he left the taqueria after eating dinner, the door closing behind him. He got in his car and drove to the library.
After a short ride, he parked his car and entered the building. Walking through the arched entrance, he entered the main room, with glass windows covering the front wall and a high ceiling with bookshelves stacked at the back and a staircase leading to the second floor. Walking up the stairs, he reached the study area, a room with desks, where a few students were studying. Off to the sides, there were private study rooms, where people could work in groups without disturbing the rest.
He headed to the left, and after opening the door to a study room, was greeted by the sight of a bent over girl with a tight ass clad in jeans pointing straight at him. Initially taken aback by the breathtaking sight, he quickly regained his composure, making his presence known.
“Hey Vivi,” he said, startling the heiress.
She quickly got up, fixing her clothes, and turned around to face him.
“Hi,” she coldly replied.
What’s gotten into her he thought. “Let’s start working on the second part of the project?” he asked.
“Sure, but could you help me pick up my stuff?” she sheepishly asked.
Looking towards where Vivi was gesturing, he saw that there were some school supplies like pencils and notebooks on the floor.
“Of course,” he quickly agreed.
After gathering everything, they sat at the table.
“So, shall we start?” Blake asked.
“I guess” Vivi again replied coldly.
“So we turned in the first part of the assignment, where we had to analyse Romeo and Juliet and now we have to write a poem, correct?” Blake made sure.
“Yes, I hope to finish this project quickly.” Vivi replied.
With that, they started on the project, bouncing ideas back and forth, deciding on the overall theme of the poem.
“So it’s baroque, right? They focus a lot on grandeur and drama,” Blake said.
“Yes, they also like to contemplate on the fugacity of life a lot,” Vivi added.
“Hmm, maybe we can work with that,” Blake said.
And so they continued planning, deciding on an overall scheme and structure, time flying by.
Vivi drove through the gate to her family’s residence. The driveway was surrounded by trees and then opened up into a view of the yard. The driveway itself was a roundabout driveway with a fountain in the middle, the family’s emblem on it, two prancing lions holding a shield with a phoenix on top. The shield itself features a tree with red leaves.
She drove around the fountain and took a right turn, taking the path that led to the garage. The Ashbournes had a valet, but she always insisted on parking her car herself as she really enjoyed driving and saw parking as a part of the experience.
When Vivi reached the garage door, it was already dark outside as she had spent surprisingly long working on the project. She parked her car in the garage and turned off the ignition. She got out of her car and entered the house through the garage door.
“Hello everyone” she yelled as she went up the stairs. Upon reaching the top, she went into her room. A nice, hot bath sounds wonderful right now, she thought. And so she grabbed a change of clothes and went into her bathroom.
After quite a while, she exited the bathroom, her hair wrapped in a towel, while she was practically nude, wearing only her panties. She went to her closet and picked out a cute, yet comfy pair of clothes, a tank top that clung to her chest and a pair of sweatpants. After exiting the closet and fully drying her hair in the bathroom, she picked up a very used book.
After setting it down on her desk she took a moment to appreciate the view. Her bedroom window faced the south and was in the front of the house. If she looked to the right, she could see the driveway’s fountain, while to her left lay the open yard, decorated by fir trees, and trimmed bushes. In the distance she could see two smaller buildings. One of them was her workshop. It used to be a small guest house, but ever since Vivi’s parents constructed the guest house at the western part of the property, it was vacant and she turned it into her car workshop. Farther away, near the lake was the boathouse which stored the Ashbourne’s boat, not used much, as the lake freezes over in the winter.
Vivi sat down in her chair and opened the book. It was a book about Resin Grove and its outskirts. But what interested Vivi wasn’t the first half of the book, which talked about the town’s history, she knew that by heart already. She flipped to the last pages, which depicted a map of the whole region and, after turning on the light, started investigating the roads. One of Vivi’s favourite activities was late night rides around town and through windy roads, it was one of the only moments she felt free, the power of the car at her disposal. A turn left, a turn right, the wind hitting her face… But she never rode unprepared. She would always study the roads, every turn, every intersection and every dead end.
An hour passed and Vivi was still mapping out her future routes. She then looked out the window and saw the main gate open as an SUVs entered the estate. Putting two and two together, Vivi jumped out of her seat and rushed downstairs. She made it to the living room just as the butler, a man named Winston, closed the door as he exited to receive the newcomers.
Vivi put on a coat and also went through the door. Outside, the SUV was parked by the entrance and the Ashbourne’s chauffeur and valet, a man named Vincent who looked to be in his thirties with short brown hair, got out of the driver side door. Winston and Vincent greeted each other and talked about the arrangements: what parking space was open, how much luggage there was, etc. Vivi ignored the men’s conversation and walked towards the SUV. But before she could reach it, the rear door whipped open and a short girl with red hair jumped out of the car.
