What do you want to do to night?
Digressions
Juliet Doe is a good soul. Like so many humans, she has her fears. Among them is that fear that people will realize whom delicate she really is, how sensitive she is to the opinions of others. Especially those she cares about. She masques this with aggression and anti-social behavior. For all her anger, for all her darkness, for all her glib comments and searing sarcasms, she is only hiding the fact that she afraid of being seen as weak.
Ah, weakness, how hard his father worked to instill in him both that he had to be strong. Some part of him seemed to believe that the two of he were better than anyone else in the world, even more so than his elder sister Sam (Samantha). He was never overt in his favoritism but it had been there and had caused an **** rift between them. Fortunately, Sam had not seemed to hold the sins his collective father against him and Julie. His father had not been all-bad, he had helped control his mom’s obsessive nature. He was a strange sort of balance, still if it had not been for Sam he and Julie probably never would have been nearly as well adjusted as he is. Sam had been a haven for both of him from his mother’s prudishness and obsessions with order and his father’s Nietzschean drive for excellence.
Sam had always been pretty cool, maybe a little weird, but cool. His mother never would have helped Julie learn to deal with her coming of age, Sam had had learn these things herself and she taught Julie. His father may have been a biochemistry genius but he had no understanding about the nature of just being human. He had always said he tell he “all those things a father tell his son.” He had died just before his 18 birth and still he had not explained the facts of life. Fortunately, Sam had talked to him about all that when he turned 12. When he were he a little older she sneaked he his first girlie magazine, and even taught he how to surf the net without leaving too nasty a trail; come think of it that was what got he into computers. Yeah, Sam was cool, weird, but cool.
Now that Dad was dead and Sam was off at college, things had become very tense. This was the first time in over a year he had seen Julie nearly so kind or charitable. He wanted to pick something that might encourage her to maintain her more kindly sororal action his condition had engendered.
So all things considered what does John does . . .
