My eyes widened at the girl's question. Lisa had a similar look.

"It's okay," Emily assured quickly, raising her hands in a placating gesture. "Ben's always getting her in trouble, and she really had no business coming on to you, Steve. That being said..she did tell me that you guys..kinda had a threesome."

"Oh lord," Lisa said, mortified.

"It's okay, she only told me..well, maybe Ben too, I don't know. Last thing she'd want is for her folks to learn what happened," Emily tried to sound reassuring, but kinda failing.

"So she told you?" I asked, managing to compose yourself.

"Yeah, she's my friend, kind of a big sister. Sometimes I feel like I'm the one getting her out of trouble," she admitted with a bit of an eye-roll.

"You're..you're not upset," I don't ask so much as state from her calm demeanor.

"Oh sure Jenni told me at first she was uncomfortable, but then she really got into it. Heh, I admit I thought it was kinda funny you sent her home naked." Emily chuckled. "But as far as stuff around here, that's hardly the most scandalous thing to go on around here. I'm not mad at all, in fact I thought it was pretty hot. You guys will fit in great here."

"That's not the first time we got that kinda vibe," Lisa observed. She put down a couple plates of pancakes and eggs.

"Sweet! These smell good!" Emily proceeded to have a couple bites. When you and Lisa realized you weren't in any danger from what this young woman knew, you sit down as well. When you did Emily spoke up once more. "You've met Tom and Jeri, right?"

"Yes, they were the first to greet us," I answered.

"No surprise there. They're kinda the ringleaders around here," Emily chuckled. "Not saying that in a bad way, Tom and Jeri are fun people."

"I can imagine." Lisa gave me a look that indicated she wasn't entirely pleased by that, but I did note it seemed a lot less tense than it had before our collective romp with Jenni and the sex afterwards.

"Thing is..a lot of the households here are part of an open-secret swingers community," Emily explained.

"What!?" I gasped in surprise. That certainly hadn't been in the brochure.

"Yep. Tom and Jeri's barbecue? That's kind of the winnowing out that they do with new arrivals. If it's too much, you can go on your way and everybody's polite neighbors. If you decide to stick around and partake," she grins "you enter a whole other, crazy, but fun life," Emily explained.

"Geez..that certainly explains how they were acting and some of the more..free-spirited people around here," Lisa observed.

"I appreciate you telling us this, Emily, but why did you?" I couldn't help but ask.
