Did they kick it?

The wheel spun and spun until it landed on a wedge labeled "Did They Kick It?" Spiral seemed excited about this one.

"Okay this is simple. We show you a superhero or supervillain, and you have to guess if they have died before. Press the green button if they have never died, the red button if they have. **** is defined as a medical **** lasting 24 hours or longer. For the sake of an actual competition, Krakoan deaths are not counted. Otherwise this gets really boring really easily. Get three out of the five right, and you win!"

"Alright," Emma rolled her neck in a circle. "I can do this."

"In that case, first up, Storm!" Spiral said.

"She has to have, right? She's been an X-Man for forever," Emma said. She hit the red button. A loud buzzer rang.

"Sorry, but Storm has never officially died for longer than a couple minutes. She has faked her **** but nothing else." Spiral said. "Next one, Kitty Pryde!"

"Okay, I remember this one, but that was during Krakoa. Kitty was medically alive during the break world bullet incident so..." Emma hit the green button.

"Correct!" Spiral said. "Stacy X."

Emma had no idea who that was. Probably some random young kid Charles grabbed off the street. She hoped they hadn't died yet so she hit the green button. The buzzer noise rang again.

"Sorry. Stacy X was a mutant depowered during the decimation and subsequently killed. She's back now though." Spiral said. "Next one: Rachel Summers."

Emma paused for a moment. She genuinely wasn't sure. She decided to go with **** just in case. She pressed the red button.

"Correct! Rachel was flung into the far future and died there before being reanimated and returned to the present." Spiral announced. "Next one, Jubilee."

Emma hovered over the buttons for a long time. She really didn't know this one. She remembered her dying during Krakoa, but that didn't count. What else was there? Maybe she should swap more stories with the girls when she gets back.

"We're gonna need an answer," Spiral said.

Emma decided on yes, she did die, and slammed the red button. When she did, one final loud buzzer rang out.

"Oooo, sorry, but according to our files Jubilee has never actually died outside of Krakoa," Spiral said. "That's your third strike, which means you lose."

Emma sucked her teeth at that. She was really upset but couldn't really show it.

"Come on Emma!" Jean banged on her tube.

The table with the two buttons disappeared in a flicker of light. Leaving just Emma in front of the cases.

"Now Emma, time to choose your next case!" Spiral said.

"I don't even have a choice right?" Emma said. "Whatever the last one is."

"Correct, there's only one left!" Spiral said. "Show us 4!"

Author's Note: And there you have it. Emma loses her tenth challenge, which means we're out of punishment cases! After this vote there will be no more case openings and we will just have to conclude her run on the show. Don't worry, I'm planning on epiloging this. I won't leave you high and dry.
