Diane comes back

Just as Alexa finished getting changed, Diane stepped into the room again, her face was glowing red with anger. “I can’t believe the audacity,” she growled. “Alexa, if you get called by Mr Yawena or anyone within the company, do not talk to them.”

“W-wait, anyone?” Alexa said. “But they’re not all bad…”

“It doesn’t matter,” Diane said, angrily. “You can’t say anything. Who knows what they’ll try to pull. Either way, we’re going to also have to sit down with some lawyers and talk. They’re going to be getting a hefty lawsuit coming their way.”

“Did you get an answer?” Carol asked.

“No, I was directed to their intern who said ‘Mr Yawena won’t be available to speak on the phone, but any clarification can be discussed with the company’s legal team. So there’s not really a choice,” Diane said. “Whether the reason was medical or because of discrimination, we still have grounds to sue. So that’s why I’m telling you, you cannot speak to anyone. No one. Even if they mean you well, they’ll probably be brought to speak in front of the judge under which they will have to speak the truth. No doubt their words will be twisted.”

Alexa nodded, thinking about the people that knew about her diapers. “Okay,” Alexa said. “I’ll do as you say.”

Diane nodded. “Well this has been quite eventful,” Carol said. “How about we all go get some ice cream?”

They all nodded and followed Carol down the stairs to the kitchen. Michelle snuck a quick kiss causing Alexa to blush. She whispered. “It’s going to be okay.”

“I know,” Alexa whispered back.

“So when do we tell Devon that he’s off the table?” Michelle whispered, smiling.

Alexa shoved Michelle playfully. “Is he though?”

Michelle raised an eyebrow. “Maybe not, but I’ll need some pics.”
