Diane arrives`

You had been about to sip your tea to settle your stomach when you catch sight of your sister walking in.

"Sorry I'm late. I woke up queasy and have been feeling off all morning. I can't believe you picked here of all places," she whispers sharply, sitting down across from you.

"And yet you came," you point out.

For a brief moment you think you see a satisfied smirk on Diane's face, but just as soon as you thought you saw it, it was gone.

"Of course I did. I wanted to see you, despite your attempts to torment me," she says with a cross look.

You chuckle. "What? I thought you would appreciate the scenery." You turn your eyes to where Alex is giving an older couple at a nearby table a plate of pancakes.

Diane follows your look, her eyes taking on a lusty countenance. "Fuck. I swear he's even better looking than last time I saw him."

"So, why don't you make a move?" You ask, a hopeful tone in your voice.

"You want me to hook up with your former fuck-buddy?" Diane asks, a note of doubt in her voice.

You resist the urge to correct her on the "former" part. "Why not? I can personally guarantee you won't be disappointed."

"I..no," she shakes her head, but you know you have Diane on the hook. "I have to go to the bathroom. When Alex comes over, tell him I'll have bacon and eggs." Diane gets up and hurries to the restroom in the back.

You look toward Alex, looking to get his attention. When he sees you, you mouth "Go.For.It." He nods, walking to one of his servers and asking him to take over. He walks by you.

"Backroom, you know the way, mon bella. Merci." He smiles at you and heads in the direction Diane did.

You take a sip of your tea, hiding your huge grin behind the cup. Finishing it, you pay for the bill and leave the diner. You make your way along the side of the building to the back. You notice the familiar backdoor. You go up to the door and listen.
