Devin's enemies

Amongst the eight men were Devin’s two arch nemeses.

Trey was the quarterback in high school, who made Devin’s life a living hell for several years for no particular reason; it’s safe to say without the torment he suffered at his hands, Devin would not have the sense of deeply-seated self-loathing and lack of confidence which led him down a path of womanizing.

The other was Patrick, a work colleague with whom Devin was always battling for promotions with and was supposed to be doing a big project overseas; unfortunately, Devin could not report him to their superiors without revealing his own predicament.

Mercifully, they both failed to recognise Devin under his feminine guise.

The two groups, alongside the aide of Becky and Darnell, her male equivalent, introduced themselves to each other, and Devin learned that since graduating high school and college, Trey became the owner of a hugely successful international haulage firm.

Three of the guys were particularly muscular; Jenson a male model; Chris, a firefighter; and Trey.

The others were ranged from slim (Deke the game designer, Rufus the painter, and Patrick) to average builds (Bob the bar owner and Marty the musician).
