This creature, similar to DC comics Starro is an alien starfish with an eye in the middle. It's from the planet Alevita. It controls its human host through a psychic connection after attaching itself to their skin. This process can cause their irises to turn red or cyan but it's not guaranteed.
In order to lure a host, it can use hypnosis on them.
Whilst only one starro is required to control a host, they like travelling in small groups, meaning hosts will typically wear many, normally hiding them over their erogenous zones and orifices but beneath their clothes, typically replacing underwear.
Despite all the obvious signs of possession, the hosts always are unaware that they are doing anything out of the normal for them.
When not on a human, Starros typically reside in dark, wet and cold areas like caves. They will make their hosts go to caves in order to get more starros to spread.
