Desert Rescue

After what seems like several hours, Supergirl feels the dull vibrations of the ship cease and surmises that they must have reached their destination. The tubes begin descending into the floor until Supergirl is in complete darkness. Suddenly, the tube she occupies launches from the ship and speeds through space toward an Earth-like planet.

Supergirl can see several other tubes far in the distance as they all break the planet's atmosphere and rapidly descend to the surface below. After a few minutes, her tube impacts the ground and the glass melts away like some sort of nanotechnology. Supergirl steps out of the open tube and when the dust clears she sees that she has crashed in the middle of a vast desert. Looking up she sees a massive semi-transparent **** field encompassing the entire sky, "Well, that's just super." She sighs, "I should find others and figure out a plan."

Kara flies up into the air and glances around with her telescopic vision, finding nothing but sand and rocky cliffs for miles. She decides to head east in hopes of coming across another person and after a few minutes she hears a woman crying out for help. Supergirl speeds toward the cries and within moments finds a woman wandering the desert. Kara flies down and greets the woman, "Are you alright?" She asks with a kind warmth.

The woman looks to Kara with surprise, "Supergirl! Boy, am I glad to see you." She brushes a lock of her blonde hair from her eyes, "I don't know how I ended up here, but I'd really like to go home now."

"Well..." Supergirl looks up at the **** field covering the sky once again, "...that may be difficult."

The woman raises an eyebrow and follows Supergirl's vision upward and she gasps as she sees the massive **** field and the strange ringed planet in the sky. "We really are on another planet." She begins to hyperventilate in panic.

Supergirl gently holds the woman's shoulders and looks her in her blue eyes, "Hey, it's going to be okay. I won't let anything happen you. I promise. Just focus on me and tell me your name."

The woman looks Supergirl in the eyes and slowly calms down, "My name is June. June Moone." Her breathing slows and becomes steady.

Supergirl smiles, "It's nice to meet you, June. I'm Kara and I'm going to keep you safe until we kind a way off this planet." She looks around the barren desert, "First, we need to find a place a bit more....bearable. Would you mind mind taking a flight with me?"

"A flight? I'm kinda scared of heights. I've never even flown on a plane....but I'd be stupid to say no to flying with Supergirl!" June's comes off a bit too enthusiastic and her cheeks redden slightly in embarrassment.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure your first time is enjoyable." Supergirl blushes too as she realizes how that just sounded, "The flight will be enjoyable, I mean." She shuts up out of fear of making it worse and picks up June into her arms before taking to the sky.
