I honestly didn't feel like playing her convoluted games, and let it be known I won't be toyed with the way she might want me to.
"Honestly Yara I'm not interested in any of this. I have other things to do at this party than hook people up with each other."
"Damn $name where did this come from? I just asked for help."
"I'm sorry but that's it for me. I'll see you around."

Moving away from my friend, I knew this would impact our friendship but didn't care for it. Tonight was about me, not some meaningless ploy to get into someone's pants.
