Delphi and Taggie have a chat

“There you are!” Taggie yelled, stepping out of the foliage.

“Eeep!” Delphi squealed, scrambling to stretch her shirt over her butt cheeks. The blue elf was currently sitting on the edge of a waterfall. “Oh, h-hi Taggie. W-what are you doing here?”

“I was looking for you!” Taggie replied.

“W-why?”

“What do you mean why? I’ve found your note and the key.” Delphi stayed quiet, so Taggie sat next to her. “You went to Viela, told her you want a new roommate, but instead of moving in with her, you gave me the key so that I could move out? Why?”

“W-well, I understand that you don’t want to live with me anymore... but it’s not fair that I get a new bed while you stay locked out, so you can have my new…”

“And Viela was ok with that? After what you did to her?”

“Well, she said that your rejection hurt more than anything she could ever do, so we are kinda even.”

“I’ve never rejec-” Taggie took a deep breath to stop herself as she carefully picked her next words. “Ok, listen, Delphi. I’m not going to lie, I’m still mad about what you did, how you tricked me...”

“S-sorry…”

“But, thinking it over, I know that the stuff with the mimic book was an accident. I mean, afterward, it looked like you were going to melt out of shame, you didn't make eye contact with me for a week.”

Delphi remained silent, but she was now blushing as she recalled the mortifying experience.

“Not to mention that you are smart, considerate, sweet, and you give the best gifs. And you stuck with me through everything, even after I got you in trouble with my pranks, so...”

"S-so?"

Taggie took as much air as her lungs could hold. “So, next time you want to kiss me, or you need a hug, don’t try to trick me into doing it. Just say it straight.”

Delphi’s frown turned upside down, her eyes lighting up like the sunrise. “Does that mean that we-?”

“Yes. How about I take this key to Viela and tell her to give us one of the couple rooms? We would still be half-naked, but it beats camping. Besides, we hang out together so much that we are practically dating already, not like much would change.”

“S-so, are you not mad anymore? Does this mean that we are a c-c-couple?” Delphi asked, her face a mixture of bliss and fear.

“I-I guess it does. And yes, I’m still kind of mad… which is why my lovely new girlfriend will make amends by doing the whole procurement procedure at the faculty on her own to get us a new pair of pants, ok?”

“Y-yes! Taggie, sure! No problem!” Wow, Taggie hadn’t seen Delphi smile like that since… right, that time she had a "nightmare". “Well, actually a small problem. Viela won’t accept repeated signatures. Where I’m going to find four people willing to give us their letters of recommendation?”

“Welp, that’s the hard part, I’m sure you’ll figure something out. I’m going to go return this key… see you back at our room?” Taggie winked at Delphi, almost melting her heart.

“Y-yes, sure!”
