Deeper and Deeper Into the Depths

"Well, we're not going to get anything done if just standing here. Come, let's scout out the first few rooms." Liara announced. The others looked towards their leader and nodded. They flexed and prepared themselves to head deeper into the house. Liara took the lead, followed by Thorgi, Dirz'ia, Herbalia, and Erin. Their usual marching order, with the two strongest in the front, a squishy middle, and the weakest in the back.

Liara was kindly handed a torch by Driz'ia, who lit the piece of wood and rags. The group moved forward. While the front room was lit up, the rest of the home was dark. The torch illuminated the way forwards. Some of the girls kept small masks over their faces, the smoke created could get annoying.

The more they headed down, the more the place seemed a bit mundane. True, there was a variety of art on the walls, but it was surprising how normal said art was. Paintings of pastures and skylines and even a city or more. The woman did note each one down for later, but it was a bit surprising. Eventually, the hall terminated into a fork, at both ends they could see a doorway. Herbalia broke off from the group and investigated both doors. When she came back, she told the group what she found.

"Okay, so east wing." She pointed towards the direction. "Besides the door, there's another hallway leading even deeper into the house. Its the same for the west wing. Which do we choose?"

Herbalia sat down and began to sketch their path into the house while the others talked among themselves. Liara and Thorgi chose east, Erin and Driz'ia chose west.
