Deep dive

With the bulk of the data recognized and now being filtered out, it was time to start diving into the rest of the information to look for patterns. It didn't take long to identify several more types of status messages that were being sent from 6T9's reconfigured port. The next largest group turned out to be other sets of status messages coming from some of the various sensors and motor control functions that were found throughout her system. Most were reporting normal operating parameters, but several were detecting various malfunctions. With that data classified, it was possible to filter it out as well. That removed about 80% of the remaining traffic.

The rest of the data fell into three distinct categories. The most numerous were a series of very small data packets. Each had a cryptic source number that didn't seem to align with any of the other system numbering, and each only contained a single value that was likely some kind of magnitude. Your initial guess was they might be another type of sensor report. However, even after cross-checking against the multi-bot database, MPAD-24 was unable to decipher the numbering or meaning of these messages, and their purpose was a complete mystery at this point.

The second group of messages were mostly gibberish with seemingly random sizes and garbled data. A possible explanation for these could be nodes that were attempting to report, but either they or the paths were damaged so badly that the data was being corrupted before it reached the port.

The third group of messages were readable status reports from nodes that didn't match the message from the functional nodes that had been reset. These were the most interesting since it may be possible to reach one of them and obtain a recent checkpoint file to save 6T9. Unfortunately, there were only three of them. "MPAD-24, those are the three we need to examine. Show me a detailed report for each."
