Chapter 140 by Shandy Shandy

What now?

Decoding a message

Shaking your head, you sit down at your desk, once again marvelling at the brazen sexuality of some of the students at Pink Rose. You wonder if your old commanding officer had any idea of the extent of this behaviour when he tagged you for the position of Dean, and you mentally praise your own restraint for not taking advantage of the wanton and drunken Miss Adamson.

Remembering the note you found in Chanel's room, you pull it and the book out of your pocket. Following Donna Considine's instructions, that the first number in the sequence refers to a page, and the second a word on that page, you take a crack at decoding the message. It takes you a few minutes of flipping back and forth in the book, but in the end you read a cryptic message.

"Conclave tonight. Acolyte selection postponed. Confessions and reprimands as necessary. Observance of Sappho."

You read the message over, frowning to yourself, wondering what the Hell it might mean.

What do you do?
